hey people do not be that naiv to pretend that Ed showed up and surprised fans out of the blue... how do you think he reached them? and all the tools his team needs to shoot the video? For sure there was work to make it happen, but it looks like none of them expected him to show up at their door, so it was still a heck of a surprise!
They probably did surprise them. Probably Eds team told him or her that they are sending packages to alot of people for them to react to, film it and do a little montage to promote the "fan" album but they sent Ed instead. That would be my guess but i guess we'll never know.
