Did you use all the juice from the oranges you peeled?

I do! If your oranges aren’t very juicy add about 2 cups of water for every 4 oranges. The actual liquid amounts depends on how juicy the fruit is. Happy canning!

How much sugar did you use?

Good question! I used approximately 3 1/3 - 4 Cups of granulated sugar for every 2 pounds of oranges, less sugar will make the marmalade more runny, also marmalade has a very mild slightly bitter taste because of the orange peels, which is totally normal. You can of course increase the amount of sugar if you prefer. The best thing about home canning is you can taste your jam along the way and adjust the level of sweetness to your liking! Happy canning!
