His athletism is like today player even without training. He couldnt stand the professionalism standard of top level club that is why he picked Cadidz. Not saying he was lack professionalism, he just wanted a more relaxe schedule. Less money? No problem. Look at Hazard. Actually, the high demand of top level club is the reason Hazard quit football. Look at Baggio, his best time was with Bologna and Brescia.

Diego himself said that Gonzalez is better than him and that he, Diego, tried to imitate Gonzalez. Barcelona wanted to sign him to play next to Maradona, but he was very much into night life which wasted his career.

He was what he was due to the personality he had.. U take that away and put him in top tier team and he d lose his gift of magic and hence he decided to stay back and just enjoy the sport,... He did the right thing for himself.. He was much happier in the fields of el salvador than he would have ever been in europe coz then his flair might have extinguished
That’s not really why, he just wasn’t dedicated to putting in the work for top teams. He played in barca with Maradona for scrims and you can see he was the one who stood out the most in that pitch

His grit being his greatest asset....he needs that underdog situation to flourish.. Or lets take romario.. He needs to be a free spirited guy to play like he used to play

Muy buen jugador. Mucha habilidad, técnica y visión de juego. Por otro lado, la mayoría de sus rivales en este video, son malos defensores, pero es innegable su habilidad. Por supuesto que no es mejor que Maradona ni que los mejores jugadores de la historia, que muchas de estas cosas las hicieron contra rivales mucho más difíciles. Tiene un poco de Kempes, la velocidad de Caniggia, y algunas definiciones tipo Valdano, por nombrar algunos jugadores argentinos muy buenos. El control de pelota en la gambeta no es tan bueno, la pelota le queda muy lejos de él, lo que en defensas buenas, cerradas es una gran debilidad.
Haber, haber, haber... Maradona llegó al Barcelona a enfrentarse a estos mismos defensas y nadie ponía en duda sus habilidades por eso; España era destino de los mejores jugadores y nadie ponía en duda a la liga. Ahora resulta que el Mágico no era bueno, ¿por dejar burlados a estos mismos defensas en La Liga Española?
Enséñanos otro contemporáneo del Mágico que jugó en España con mejor técnica que el, que supongo debería de ser cualquiera y muchos pues los defensas eran malos segun tu analisis
