Ok, normally I watch or even just listen to your vids and always enjoy what you have to, whether or not I agree, I always enjoy your take on things. But this time, I felt I needed to comment. You and that Dress are a match made in...well, not heaven, probably, but maybe heaven adjacent.
@snarkyjay I believe that your review on "The Crow 2024" helped add to your fan base. I watched that movie and looked up movie reviews. I needed someone to completely tear into that movie and most reviewers lacked that honesty I needed. I laughed so hard on your review, it almost made it worth watching that train wreck of a movie. I have been subscribed ever since.
hi snarky: 1. late night with the devil 2. Deadpool & wolverine 3. abigail 4. alien:romulus 5. heretic 6. furiosa 7. sting 8. smile 2 9. challengers 10. red one
Merry Christmas, Snarky. Deadpool and Wolverine was my favorite movie of 2024. The second favorite thing I watched this year was Superman and Lois's finale. That was the best finale of any series I have ever seen.
I have to agree on superman & lois, but I sure will miss that series. They did many things so fking good, compaired to the movies... even tho the kids part always was a cancer. 😉
@lithium81 Do you mean Jonathan being whiny and all that? Yeah, I agree. His character was annoying but I suppose in his defence, he was just a kid/teenager working through some issues. In the last season, he did improve.
I thought the same, but Fallen was rated too low. Would like to see a video where she gets a bit deeper into the older movies she watched. Has she seen Drive?
I also notice that "old" movies segment were all pretty high rated, which is another proof that movies and shows and music were better "back in da day"!

Avid someone who happens to be GITS fan since the 90's the film was fantastic. Why people see an issue with the film is beyond me, but the fact film got Masumane Shirow's and Ohii's seal of approval speaks volumes. Also had it not been Arad Kerry Coran wouldn't have gotten Sky Captain made.
I stopped part way through watching your bests of the year to go and watch your recommendation of 'Late Night with the Devil', and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised! It kept me engrossed, and like 90 minutes has never gone by so fast! Great little film! 😀👌
If you dug that remake of Speak No Evil, you should check out the original Danish film of the same name. You might be pleasantly surprised at how much better it is, particularly the third act. The American remake bungled it, completely nullifying the entire point of the screenplay. I won't spoil it here, but strongly recommend.
The only thing the remake did better was the third act. If you like watching films to feel angry at what you just watched, the original is for you. The remake is more cliche but I'll take that over misery.

Nice outfit. I mean, how can you review movies without a nice outfit? But I did notice you gave the prestige a 10 out of 10 and for that I’ll give you a big thumbs up.🎉
Time out I can see how “Fallen” may be slow but the way that film was shot from the first line of dialogue to the last every angle color scheme detail of character twist is phenomenal to only give it a 5 is blasphemy the cast is top notch non too overplayed set in the most realistic way for its genre I am bias for it’s my favorite movie all time and I love many of the typical classics but this movie in the way it was subtly executed was perfect but thank for giving it a watch that movie deserves more praise. Have a very merry extraordinary Christmas Snarky!
I agree! I'm a bit older than Snarky Jay, so I got to see this one when it first came out. I can understand watching it in 2024 for the first time. It would not have the same impact, being almost 30 years old. Overall, it's one of my favorite movies of all time.
@ I’m a bit older as well but I caught this randomly after it was out prob by 3 years or so it was on in the background but I happen to catch the last 3-5 minutes and the ending dialogue narration alone made restart the movie and watch how it played out and I’ve seen it many times since always amazed at the subtle cinematic genius the movie portrays
Your content and perspective is on point as always, but that intro and choice of wardrobe is the proverbial icing on the cake. Hope the New Year brings you much success.
