Directed by Jason Goldwatch, Nas’s newest video, “War Against Love,” from his critically-acclaimed album, The Lost Tapes 2, fearlessly spotlights the historic and current discourses we face. With peaceful displays of humankind’s achievements and nature’s beauty paired with difficult scenes of man-made destruction, the message is clear; it is our duty to learn from humanity’s fraught history and move forward in the name of love.

💯. From Houston Texas awesome song!!
"listening to nas, cant believe he thinks we edom, toss his disc, "apostles" pissed, like awww you's a bih"
don't care how good you rhyme, false prophet
You are still muslim Nasemir.
It's got that marvin gaye fell
We need a Queensbridge video...
Please tell people to stop compairing Jay -Z to this King...All Jay can do is brag about money...this man Nas can brag about money while at the same time talking about unity of blacks, he teach history, he inspire people, he's a story teller! He's better hands down! No comparislon!
He’s dropped 6 albums since your comment.
NAS DROPPED THE BEST HIP HOP ALBUM OF 2019 NOBODY TALKING ABOUT IT
madeislife I know right but soon they will when it finally hits them all.
Real talk nobody wants to hear the truth and that is what Nas is about so they fear him. Why would people talk about what they fear lol. No rapper is in his class lyrically plus he has the balls to say things that none of them could or think about so they would rather keep him suppressed
So true. And people are not buying too. It went off the chart after the first week. So sad cos it is such a great album. I guess that's why he is shooting videos to promote it more. I want him to shoot the video for "It Never Ends" next. One of the dopest songs on the album.
I bought it the first night
Its because Nas is a upper echelon Rapper 💯✊🏿
When Nas said "from New York to Botswana//London to Guyana"I felt that!
Yep
Big up guyana from suriname
Paris PR saint Thomas DR the african Diaspora in PuertoRico and Saint thomas and Dominican republican.i felt that right there. There alot of afro Ricans ,in PuertoRico and all of Latin america, but main stream america is racist and doesnt want people to know that. This is the reason PuertoRico and latin America is treated so unfairly bad by The US government
I felt that too Eric! Peace & love all the way from Gabs.
I felt that too from Guyana
THE FACT THAT THIS MUSIC VIDEO DIDNT GET MILLIONS OF VIEWS SHOWS HOW PEOPLE BECOME IGNORANT TO THE TRUTH
Wtf, no. There is an algorithm. It makes people watch what is recommended.
@@martinfrog8265 Can you elaborate on that?
Whats the truth?
@@seymourdeniro679 You see RUclips recommends certain video's that interest people due to searches on google and google apps. Most people listen to Billie ellish, Ed sheeran en Future shit. The algorithm isn't made for hip hop heads.
But through dedication and love for these golden artists these views represent the real people
RUclips does not recommend right on and they do not count vieuws right. They regulate hip-hop.
In the words of J.Cole;
"the real ones are dying the fake ones are lit".

Quote this somewhere else unless you meant it differently.
@@donmopao I apologize if you've misunderstood what I quoted by this. All I'm saying is that who and what is getting on the airwaves? Majority of it is trash! Then here you have true mc's getting no love because it's not in the new. Nas himself said hiphop is dead.
Almost didn't believe it when I saw this. Wow Nas. God bless you bro.

TRUE TRUE TRUE.A musical PRODIGY since day ONE.Always SPITTING some deep real shit. A real hip hop legend.
Nas is becoming a true leader with his evolved message
Becoming? He's been bringing the message
Been there since 92 live at the bbq
Been doing this for a minute, always had message in every album.
Been since day one
Lol Aaron9. I see you don’t know anything about me. Let me elaborate. Nas has been doin his thing as a hip hop leader I agree. But until recently say 10 years he’s been becoming more conscious rapper then ever ie his stuff with Damien Marley. His message has evolved with his age 46. His not the 20 year old gangster he’s confessed his religions and so on his sexual addiction and so on. That tells all of us his well matured and more of a boss now that’s why I say he’s a truer leader now not just in hip hop but I envision him being a black leader in society thats how his message has evolved and it’s not just because of this song but over the last decade or so
Not even a million views. Unreal this should have a billion views. People in this world are fools.
Because the masses/ sheep listen to a lot of main stream/ commercialized music these days. Whatever gets radio play.
"I went from semi bummy niqqa to money niqqa/Bike niqqa to car niqqa/Christ niqqa to Allah niqqa/Then I evolved niqqa/No religion/My commandments are my standards." That's growth

@Thomas vanDyke muslim is pretty much the majority of southeast asian.
@Thomas vanDyke Most Filipinos and some Koreans are Catholic/Protestant. Indonesians, Pakistani, Afghanis etc. are mostly muslim. They have adopted other religions while also pushing Buddhism in their countries. Buddhism was started in India though. China just gravitated to it. Japan's main religion is Shintoism not Buddhism. China & North Korea are also secular/nationalists as well. The state comes before religion in their countries.
That shift isn’t looking to swell bro.

no mumbling
no auto tune
no expensive things
no over sexualized gals
no flexing
now this is what I've called rap
I disagree
Its not simply about what it lacks, but whay it adds...
@@00mongoose lemme elaborate, most of the today's rap game we're anything but product placement, and flexing about having expensive cars and over sexualized woman whilst spitting incoherently in today's rap music video, this is the sort of rap that us the old farts we're craving for where it has meaningful lyrics we'll take granted for, now and forever
but still I'm not gonna stopping ya for watching these new rap music 'cause the old school agreeing to disagree mentality

This song grew on me. Nas' pen ability, in my opinion, doesn't seem to have fallen off even compared to his rap debut in 94'. He can literally jump on to most tracks and spit consistent fire, regardless of the production quality.Definitely a classic Lost Tapes song.
This type of hip hop makes me feel good and calm. Thank you Nas. 💕🔥💪🏾
I’m so happy to see NAS back man, makes me so happy to see. This guys lyrics were always on a next level. If you see this NAS. Good to see you again my g. Peace
Very refreshing to hear a song that actually has a message! This should have millions on top of millions of views. Goes to show there's not many of us with a conscious left
We are extra terrestrials. Everyone reading this message who can innerstand it. Meaning we arent from up in the sky because that would be celestial. The terra plane is the earth plane. The true E.T. will always be the original which is exactly what Nas said in this song which is African. E.T. = Ethiopian. Meaning we are on a hill. Mount zion if you will. Heaven on earth. Above the earth plane. Vibrating at a higher consciousness then them who have the mark of the beast which is to think like a beast aka animal.
Its not that we are not concious, theres plenty of us out here, its coz this kind of music isnt marketable as much as someone talkin about money, jewels and girls, its sad
All 3 of u...take these W's
We can make this happen with social media. Creating groups and bringing awareness to music again. We just need the right minded people to accomplish this.
Beat is chill, the music video is deep. Nas has bars always, 10/10.

If you're struggling to overstand why music like this isn't embraced like the bs that's more popular and resonates with the masses then research "negativity bias " and you'll discover that most of us are hardwired to gravitate towards the negative than positive. We're more inclined to watch and rewatch a fight video 20 times than we are to watch a Dr.John H.Clarke video. We'll listen to mumble rap 24/7 but can't name one Peter Tosh,Fela Kuti or Saul Williams album. We must reprogram our subconscious minds and escape the matrix.Peace!
