That is one beautiful mountain pass. The roads are well kept, and going down is just as interesting as going across the top. lol Great video, as always, and I thank you for taking the time to videotaping your adventures across Europe. Can't wait for the next one. 📸🤗💕🤭🐸
Groeten Kevin.
spectacular and beautiful as always. More videos of Norway please. thanks for bringing home here in Murcia in southern Europe the north. Muchas gracias y cuidado al volante
When I drove this last summer, the tunnel was closed for road work and there was a looong wait for convoy driving on the old road. They would only let traffic go there in one direction at a time.
If that's captured today, I'm surprised! Not a lot of snow! Could any experienced norwegian driver tell, if icy roads possible around 10 th April, Oslo - Nigardsbreen Glacier? I'm kinda confused by weather statistics on the Internet. Thanks!
It's from last summer. For winter this mountain can pass be pretty snowy, and windy. Often leading to closures, they try to keep it open all year though.
@@БостонскоеЧаепитие-ь2г It really depends, I can't really give you an answer, as there may very well be a snow storm in the mountains, even as far as May , so it's not unusual for this to happen in April either. There were problems in April in Haukelifjell in 2018, 2017 and 2016 for example for recent years. Always watch the news if you intend to cross E134 Haukelifjell, or RIksvei 7 Hardangervidda at winter, as they might suddenly be closed, plan an alternative rote, such as E16 Filefjell , or the coastal highway E18 and E39 as a backup.
that's gorgeous. though being a Canadian, by March I'm typically kind of sick of seeing snow :) * edit. also it's crazy that so much of that road is continuously lit.
I was surprised by the street lighting as well, other mountain passes don't have it. Winter conditions are really something else though, these passes are frequently closed or have 'convoy driving' behind a snow plow.
If you look at the official webcam from the Norwegian Road Administration, you can see it very good during night time in winter: www.vegvesen.no/public/webkamera/kamera?id=2085347
@@EuropeanRoads Ah yeah, we drove that route when driving home from Kinsarvik in Hardanger once, Riksvei 13 is too full of tourists, so we drove through the folgefonna, followed the Fylkesvei 48 on that side, to the ferry across to Skånevik, later rejoining the E134 at Etne. It's a little bit of a detour, but at the height of tourist season ( some of these people drive like idiots) it's worth it. =p

Valley, not walley
Beatiful road
Just magnificent.
There are street lights because of frequent bad weather, not because of pedestrians!
Where on the road are you startning filming?

@@Glenni91N thank you!

@@Glenni91N but February and April are probably different?

I`ll take all the old ways over thr mountens! I don´t like to drive in tunnels! But the truckers will like the tunnels (in the winter!).
so this road to kristiansand is open all year?
Yes, it goes through a valley

When going over the mountain pass in a winter storm all following behind the plow, the extra lighting helps to kind of understand where the road is.

I live in the city at the western end of E134, Haugesund , did you also go here by chance? =D
No I stayed near Odda, just through the Folgefonna Tunnel. I haven't been to Haugesund yet.

I think Låtefossen gets pretty crazy. It was already packed in June, before the main tourist season.
