There are two issues I'm met with, the first being that there isn't a resolution option in raspi-config and the other that the wio terminal does the splash screen and later is stuck on a black screen with a blinking cursor in the top left. When changing the resolution, I've tried configuring the /boot/config.txt file with different hdmi group and hdmi mode settings. For the black screen with a blinking cursor, I've tried the keyboard shortcuts to try to change TTY but that hasn't worked either. What am I missing? Is it the raspberry pi trying to display on the HDMI ports instead? I have a raspberry pi 4 btw.

Go into Settings and slow down the video by changing the playback speed to .75 and see if that helps you. You can also set the quality to 720p.

Thank you for your suggestions Art Becker and Sal Mon! Will keep in mind to make it a bit more slower in the future videos!

Teacher, will WIO Terminal be used as the screen of BeagleBonegreen in the future? Because I bought both from Seeed and wanted to learn from the teacher thanks

      Hi,
Could you refer to this wiki which explains how you can use the Wio Terminal as a screen for BBG as well?

      Best Regards,

I get all the way to almost the end of "make & sudo make install." But the final line, "[1]+ Done" never appears, and all activity on the pi stops. After waiting a few minutes of no activity, I hit enter, and then get the [1]+ Done response. Powering off and then on goes as far as the "Welcome to Raspberry Pi Desktop" splash screen on my monitor, but then the screen goes blank, except for blinking cursor. The Wio Terminal always just has a white screen. Booting again with the main screen disconnected makes no difference. The Wio Terminal is always white.

After this step, "sudo raspi-config", can you try to connect the Wio Terminal to the Raspberry Pi and then "sudo reboot"?, instead of powering off. Please let me know the output after testing the above. If it doesn't work, I can guide further.

@@lakshanthadissanayake6735 Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate all your videos, I know you are a nice guy, and that you know what you are doing. But crucial steps in videos and the wiki are often missing. Such as the Wio Terminal is plugged in to my Windows 10 pc to add the appropriate .uf2 file, and then the Wio Terminal has to be moved to the Raspberry Pi. Do I turn off the Wio Terminal first, or just yank out the plug? Or doesn't it really matter, since the .uf2 files stays in the Wio Terminal's memory? Should the power to the Wio Terminal be off before I plug it into the Raspberry Pi? There is warning somewhere that hot swapping doesn't work. At one place you say to "sudo powerdown" but is that a good idea, and won't potentially corrupt the SD card? Isn't just "sudo reboot" sufficient, or else "sudo shutdown" then power up again? Thank you again.

@@lakshanthadissanayake6735 I still get the same result. My Raspberry Pi monitor has a blank screen, except for a flashing cursor in the upper left. The WIO Terminal screen is white. But I can still SSH from my Windows 10 PC. I think the problem is no display driver. When the Pi boots, the Welcome to Raspberry Pi Desktop splash panel is the last thing I see before the screen goes and stays blank. The Wio Terminal screen is white all the time. Previously, when I perform the "make" it doesn't complete. It gets to the next to final line, but stops. After several minutes of no Pi activity, I hit enter, and get the "[1]+ Done" message. That doesn't seem right. I have ran many of the Arduino Seeed LCD examples with no problem, so I assume the Wio Terminal itself is OK.

@@artbecker5618 I understand your concern about the details. I will keep in mind these details in future videos. To answer your questions:
      1. It doesn't really matter whether you remove the cable from the PC directly or turn off Wio Terminal first and then remove the cable. I personally turn off Wio Terminal and remove the cable. Just a habit now.
      2. Hot swapping indeed doesn't work. That's why I turn off the Raspberry Pi first, connect the Wio Terminal to Raspberry Pi and then turn the Raspberry Pi back ON.
      3. There is no issue with using 'sudo poweroff'. Alternatively, you could use 'sudo shutdown now' as well.
      Hope it helps :)

@@artbecker5618 You are correct. The problem is no display driver. You don't have to worry about 'make' not completing. Sometimes you have to press "Enter", you will see "[1]+ Done" message and it's all good.
      Please do this:
While the Wio Terminal is still connected to the Raspberry Pi, navigate to: 'seeed-linux-usbdisp/drivers/linux-driver' and run the command:' make & sudo make install'. After that run: 'sudo reboot'
This seems to reinstall the display driver and display the Raspberry Pi GUI on Wio Terminal LCD.
I have also added it under FAQ on the wiki page:
      wiki.seeedstudio.com/Wio-Terminal-HMI/#faq
(ignore the Answer not in a new line, I have fixed it and will take some time to update)
      Hope it works :)
