Slag Dump at Beitai Steelworks, Benxi, China

Molten slag from the steel production is collected in cauldron wagons under the blast furnaces and moved to the tipping area. Until 2013 the Beitai steelworks were one of the very last industrial facilities operated by steam locomotives.
Flüssige Schlacke aus der Stahlproduktion wird in Kübelwagen unter den Hochöfen gesammelt und zum Abkippen gefahren. Bis ins Jahr 2013 war das Stahlwerk Beitai einer der letzten Industriebetriebe mit Einsatz von Dampflokomotiven.

Cool steam locomotives but I expected them to use diesels by now...
