Well spotted. She also ran a phenomenal barefoot 22.06 for 200m in Pietersburg in 1989. Surely the fastest woman to ever run barefoot? It was very common for us to train barefoot in SA in the 80's (on grass tracks). Not as widespread to race barefoot, but certainly not uncommon, especially in the junior ranks
