For tekapo it's pronounced tek-a-po, there's also tourist flights in tekapo that takes you all around tekapo, it's so gorgeous. In Christchurch I'd recommend going to check out the Red Zone, the names due to the rezoning of land after the quakes as too dangerous to rebuild on. It's surreal to see so much gorgeous parkland that used to be houses for miles, including where I was living when the quakes happened. We've had my neices birthday parties for her 1st and 2nd birthday there. All the land is owned by the crown, for a while the Queen owned it all and now the King does.

Ten days? We spent 18 days and saw many of the places you referred to. I think you must be leaving out time to sleep. What is listed on Google maps as a 4 hour trip takes all day because of the stunning beauty. I don't believe your itinerary could be accomplished in 21 days.
I have visited 4 times New Zealand. South island require 10 days and 5-6 days in North Island.

You can't do this in 10 days lol. Need travel days either via planes or cars to get to many of these places. So maybe 20 days...

@@GreatCityAttractions 1:45 the AI says enjoy the views around Rotorua but that looks like a shot of Ngaurahoe taken from the Desert Road just north of Waiouru. Ngaurahoe is 70 miles from Rotorua, and that spot is about 90 miles from Rotorua.

There used to be one in Mangaweka (never a mcdonalds, Mangaweka has a population of not much) but if you use google street view date function you can see it was taken down in 2021.
