It’s a clever skit. It’s like being force into a beauty contest. Even if you do t want to be there. It’s insulting if everyone picks everyone above you. Then your feelings are hurt and your ego kicks and and now you are trying to beat the others. I would imagine this was a real thing with sone people
They put these collars on you that were purposefully super heavy and imbalanced to make it hard to run, and sometimes they had long spokes so that if you tripped they'd hit the ground and break your neck. They chained your ankles to make it hard to fight, sometimes wrists as well. Shotguns also work great, and horses mean that you can ride away and shoot at them from a distance. Or go get friends. Also, one person wouldn't generally be managing a large group, it'd be at least a few so if one guy got jumped the other guy could help them. The house wouldn't be so far you couldn't shoot.
@@mizkomunikation9478Sorry man she really didn't like it. But that's all right not everyone has to like everything. But don't sit there and pretend she enjoyed it when she clearly didn't. Tone of voice, facial expressions all indicated she didn't think it was funny or appropriate.

LMAOO you JRE type old fogies take everything WAAAY too seriously. "What made them do this skit" is more a question of inspiration. You're acting like she said "oh my god! how dare they!", which would be a pretty weird response considering they were laughing throughout the whole skit. "A person was shocked?? Comedy is dying! He don’t either because they’re making fun of slavers that didn’t want strong individuals that would fight them and possibly lead other slaves to fight and die. It took them generations to break our Ancestor’s down to the point of submission. And how they started was by turning us against each other (which they probably learned that from an African). Of course we weren’t the only slaves by far knowing every race had enslaved their own and our ancestors were sold to Europeans, but we were the most rebellious…. Guaranteed we gave them hell……. At first!
@@Reign_Of_Is_REALthat’s not the joke, like at all. The joke is about feeling jealousy and about wanting to be included: 2 slaves start to feel so much jealousy at others getting purchased that they feel envy and feel excluded. The joke isn’t ’slavery was fine,’ it was that ‘envy and the feeling of being excluded can distort us to the point of having a messed up mentality’
She said $5 😂 “Yep, and white slaves were cheaper than that.” That was a horrible business that should’ve never went on for THOUSANDS of years. Still going on too!
The funny in this is that these slaves were from Africa. They wouldn't be able to speak English. But not only do they speak English, they kinda have a straight from the hood attitude.

If you are going to be in a successful interracial relationship, you have to be comfortable with laughing at something with your partner when it's comedy. He's rolling while she's offended. I am so glad I don't have to worry about white guilt in my relationship
I dont think she's white though, you're just projecting Is a black woman not allowed to be offended at jokes about slavery? As a white european guy i thought it was hilarious, like most K&P skits, but i'm facepalming at the edgy children in the comments complaining about a black person not laughing at some slavery jokes
You think Key and Peele could give them hell? 😂 The point of the skit is the same as a woman denying a man but the soonest the man tells her he doesn't want her either way, the woman gets offended.
This skit was all about human nature and how no one likes to be picked last for anything. Haha.
I seen that they were making fun of slavers and the fact that they wanted submissive folks and nobody that was gonna “GIVE UM HELL” !!!!
And the slave owners being hypocrites?
This shows that no matter the situation, it always feels good to be wanted. 😂
The closest parallel to this is when teams are being picked for a sport on the playground.
I remember the first time I watched this one. I was DYIN! I think between this and the substitute teacher video, I got hooked on this show

Actually, they did this to shine light on human nature, to highlight the fact that as humans we all want to be wanted and desired and valued.

"Why did they do this." That's the problem with youth today. They did it because it was funny, no wonder comedy is dying.
Well ALSO they were basically saying slavers were cowards and didn’t want anybody that would put up a fight. They wanted submissiveness!
