This skit was all about human nature and how no one likes to be picked last for anything. Haha.
I seen that they were making fun of slavers and the fact that they wanted submissive folks and nobody that was gonna “GIVE UM HELL” !!!!
And the slave owners being hypocrites?
This shows that no matter the situation, it always feels good to be wanted. 😂
The closest parallel to this is when teams are being picked for a sport on the playground.
It’s a clever skit. It’s like being force into a beauty contest. Even if you do t want to be there. It’s insulting if everyone picks everyone above you. Then your feelings are hurt and your ego kicks and and now you are trying to beat the others. I would imagine this was a real thing with sone people
I remember the first time I watched this one. I was DYIN! I think between this and the substitute teacher video, I got hooked on this show

They put these collars on you that were purposefully super heavy and imbalanced to make it hard to run, and sometimes they had long spokes so that if you tripped they'd hit the ground and break your neck. They chained your ankles to make it hard to fight, sometimes wrists as well. Shotguns also work great, and horses mean that you can ride away and shoot at them from a distance. Or go get friends. Also, one person wouldn't generally be managing a large group, it'd be at least a few so if one guy got jumped the other guy could help them. The house wouldn't be so far you couldn't shoot.

He don’t either because they’re making fun of slavers that didn’t want strong individuals that would fight them and possibly lead other slaves to fight and die. It took them generations to break our Ancestor’s down to the point of submission. And how they started was by turning us against each other (which they probably learned that from an African). Of course we weren’t the only slaves by far knowing every race had enslaved their own and our ancestors were sold to Europeans, but we were the most rebellious…. Guaranteed we gave them hell…….
