My grandmother passed away and so many family members gathered a couple months later at her house to go through her stuff. It was chaos and 10 years later people are still angry about what someone else got. Then my mom passed away just a few years ago and there were problems between me, my siblings and our children with her belongings. Both times were overwhelming, a huge burden and trauma to us and I know they never wanted us to go through that, but they never thought about how much it would affect us. I don't want my kids to go through that, so I have been decluttering, organizing and doing the Swedish death cleaning method also. Your mom is so funny, and I like to watch the two of you together. It is great she is also decluttering.
I’m your mom’s age...and I’ve saved a pair of nylons ( pantyhose) for “dress up”. But...when is dress up? Not so much anymore. Ha ha. It gives us comfort to know they are there, just in case..... BTW...I still call them “nylons”, too.
I'm having a hard time getting rid of my Victoria Secret 2 pc bathing suits! As a petite lady I've always been able to get by in a 2pc but now I think a one pc would be classier. And those socks! I hear ya, I've got plenty! I'm headed to clean out my dresser!! Lol.

My friend and I were just talking about how we only wear like our 2 favorite comfortable bras. When one needs washed, we wear the other. Its amazing how much extra stuff we have that's never worn.🙂

My mom is Queen of Clutter! She is now in a nursing home for rehab and must go into assisted living. My brother and I had to declutter her house. What a chore. Three days later, 2 trips to Goodwill and a filled small dumpster, we are almost done! After we get her moved, we will declutter more!

Yes!!! If bras are still in excellent condition, post them on Ebay!!! I wear an odd size and the brand I prefer is made in Europe. Very hard to find in the US. I am always excited to find them on ebay!!!
These videos are so fun. I struggle with socks and bras because you can’t donate them, and it’s upsetting to put something in the trash that isn’t worn out. As for putting stuff in one place, we’ve been in our house long enough that there are some things like that, that have been in one spot for a decade because it works. But mostly I like to move stuff around and keep it “energetic” and visible, and find just the right spot for it, but it drives hubby crazy - he has a fixed idea of where something should be and can’t handle all the rethinking and moving stuff around (even if the new spot makes more sense!)
If they are still in good condition the YWCA or local women's shelter will accept them. Also you can sell excellent condition bra's on ebay. I wear an odd size and a brand that is hard to find in the US. I always get super excited to find them on ebay! :)
Marie here- 2 of my local Thrift stores sell bras. I glanced through them and they were in Great condition. Some even had original store price tags on them.

I recently sorted my socks out. I had so many pairs of fluffy, winter bed socks. I paired it down to just 7 pairs!
