- 2008 style housing foreclosure crisis on the brink?
In this video, we are talking about the housing market otherwise known as real estate market right now in 2024 as this market has been changing rapidly over the last couple years. Over the last several years, we have seen a real estate market which was very strong and prices appreciating very quickly and many people buying homes, however over the last couple years we have seen the housing market cool off significantly as interest rates have increased significantly and we're also starting to see more foreclosures hitting the market. We always want to watch housing foreclosures, real estate foreclosures as well as the overall housing market because this gives us an indication as to what is going on with the health of the real estate market and what this means for buyers and sellers going forward. That is exactly what we're talking about here in this video and if we are on the cusp of another housing foreclosure crisis like we did roughly 16 years ago.

This could happen again. I worked for a title company back in 2008, 2009 and we all lost our jobs and saw so many people lose their homes. Very sad for sure.
Been stuck in these trenches a long time at every significant milestone of my life by the sheer happenstance of other people's BS. Very, very, tired.

NEVER get an ARM. That's how ALOT lost their homes. We bought at 2.875% 30 fixed. Only things that can change year to year is property taxes, we have the double homestead exemption and once we turn 65 property tax halts and home owner's insurance.

I bought a house in Dec 2023 at 7% interest rate. Me and my husband pay 1300.00 a month. The principal is 129.00 . The internet is around 929.00 and the rest is insurance and property taxes. I pray interest drops so we can refinance. It’s killing us.
