In an America that is becoming more politically divided and polarized, Nixon's words need to be heard now more than ever.

The sources of our divisions were artificially imposed upon us and the resulting dissolution is no surprise to those who've seen the agenda implemented over the decades. Indeed, the warnings have been made but, were either shouted down, shamed, or flat out blocked. In place of the latter, a Controlled Opposition was created to give the illusion of democracy, discussion, and public input. Unpacking what that really means is not possible in .

That's because Nixon was extraordinarily blessed with the true ability to THINK, EXAMINE, & INTERPRET life, situations, people, & cultures from many perspectives ... not limited to his personal thoughts, preferences, nor prejudices. JFK was, too, such an individual.Wish we had leaders like Nixon & JKF today.

We need a president like Nixon again. He was both an intellectual but not in the pampered university professor way but Nixon combined it with a great knowledge of reality rather than just spewing ideological nonsense like most people do today.

I’ve seen quite a few Nixon videos lately, and when looking at the world now, one can only say that he was quite right about many issues. Would he run for president right now, and I would be American, I would vote for him without a doubt in my mind, he would be the best president by far when compared to the candidates at the moment.

Black and white. The Muslims and us. Nixon's self awareness is impressive, for someone who lived in Europe several years ago, I relate to his words. Sophistication is the biggest thing I hated about them, but I must say it's true. Perhaps, one day we will accept us as imperfect, and tolerate the imperfect nature of others.

Agreed. Ronaldus Maximus was not a good Republican but, a neocon puppet for the handlers who secretly rode in under his coattails. He looked good on TV and told us what we wanted to hear. All while The Swamp did incalculable damage. Very much like what Trump did.
That's not to justify the Demonrats but, we had once held the GOP to a higher standard and expected more from them. Both parties are a lost cause and hard proof that our system of liberal democracy, universal suffrage, and constitutional republican government has totally failed.

I have to agree with Richard Nixon on that as people always think that all republics are democratic and there is no such thing as a bad republic when the world has proved us wrong. Syria, Egypt, Nicaragua, Turkey, Belarus, Singapore, Israel, Angola and Hungary are such examples of just because they're republics doesn't mean they're democratic.
Not to mention history has shown that republics aren't always going end up as democratic or going too democratic such as Portugal, Iraq, the first French Republic during the French Revolution, Chile, South Africa, Philippines, Burma, Ethiopia, Libya, Ukraine, Guinea, Montenegro and Croatia.

You NEED to understand not to negotiate by denial but by counteroffer. Relationship begins with OFFER, and sometimes people NEED help, other times they benefit by help (as by economy of scale).
By contrast, weapons just bury people in misery, and God did not make people FOR that. God needed to provide help with kitchen chores.

Im no commie or anything like that but Nixon can't tell the difference between Communism as is planned and Socialism in one state as its practiced. That being said most americans cant tell the difference either because of a lack of education on the topic. And as nixon once said how can we defeat communism and socialism if we dont know what they are.

Remember, Mr Nixon died in 1994 and missed out on the truly epic collapse of America's credibility and moral standing. I think Nixon would be forced to admit that the situation is hopeless. Putin and Xi are both far superior leaders. Not just for their own countries but, for the world at large. It would be a very bitter pill for Nixon to swallow had he been alive and able to see what's happened since 1994.

The Soviets were a threat but not China because China was poor and weak back then. But he was probably incorrect in assuming the Chinese weren’t as bad as the Soviets. And as they are now sure they’re not as bad, but they are still a threat in a sense, as we have 2 different systems of value and goals that don’t align. Nixon was a bit too weak when it came to deal with Communism.

The popular meme of wondering what a famous leader would say it he lived to the current year certainly applies to Mr Nixon.
IMO, he would've grudgingly admitted that Putin and Xi are far superior to what runs the West today. I think the dramatic collapse of American credibility and moral standing since his death in 1994 would yield some very eye opening changes of opinion if he were alive to make them.

    • @drscopeify
      @drscopeify 10 дней назад

You have it backwards, Putin and Xi both are imperialists that want to expand their borders and global powers which puts them both in conflict with their neighbors and we in the USA just have to give our support to Russia and China's neighbors and they both have their hands full. We don't even need good leaders to keep winning this game. And if you think something like BRICS is a threat then remember that the only thing BRICS does is export resources to China to produce goods for the West so if trade between the West and China were to collapse, BRICS dies. Russia is exporting resources to China to produce goods for the West, without trade between China to the West, then Russia also dies. This is why Putin's eye twitches when someone asks him if he thinks China will invade Taiwan as he knows that would be a death blow to Russia, he does not ever want to see that happen which is why Putin totally dismisses that idea out of the gate. The USA does not even need good leaders to win it's all set up to do so naturally but it's is nice to have good leaders and soon Baby Boomer generation leaders will be gone and fresh faces will take power and I have high hopes for that but the USA will still win regardless.

And yet clearly he was so wrong. He saw the world in quite limited terms, not by general public standards, but geopolitically.
There are known knowns, and so often unknown unknowns.
He failed to consider the latter.
