- In this extended conversation, actor-writer-director Jesse Eisenberg, nominated for an Academy Award for best original screenplay for "A Real Pain," talks about his journey as a writer; developing his acclaimed comic-drama about cousins visiting the homeland of their late grandmother, a Holocaust survivor; how acting helped him outgrow being a "miserable kid"; and living a life with one foot (or more) outside the entertainment industry.

aw he's so precious. it's really nice to know you're not the only one thinking like that, thank you Jesse. some of us just tick in a different rhythm and tone. 😊 lovely interviewer, well done.
A Real Pain was one of my favorite movies this past year.
Oh my goodness, so many 'likes,' and yet he's so intelligent --and thoughtful on so many levels. He did such a good job with A Real Pain, both directing and acting. Highly recommend that movie, and he deserves the accolades. The people are "like" securing the camera. No, they ARE securing the camera. But my goodness, he is an amazing person! AND deserves the Academy Award!!! Great interview, too.
Love this guy! A classic neurotic, fast talking New Yorker!
I would be very happy and honored if Jesse Eisenberg were my son. Seems like a really nice guy, hard-working, kind. 😊❤
She’s a great interviewer because she actually listens. Love all this success for Jesse, hope he wins the Oscar.
Always been a favorite actor of mine. Superb interview.
What I'm hearing for you is that it may be to your advantage to have an ongoing journal folder/notebook of your personal experiences that you document each evening, and at some point it would be food for a brilliant script or book for people that go through the same thing. You're not alone in that, and congratulations on staying out of social media.
CBS Sunday Morning! One of my very favorite shows!
It's an amazing movie!!!
He's a treasure
Went to QC with your dad, and even though to quote another film if you’ll excuse me, ‘They may not want ‘us’ here’, and we’ve learned how much they do ‘hate’ us, look at the brilliance of your inherited lineage Mr. Eisenberg. Your film and nominations, the same for the Dylan biopic ( Mr. Zimmerman portrayed by Chalamet who’s mom is of Jewish heritage), Lazlo Toth ( of Jewish Hungarian heritage), who survived the camps portrayed by yet another gent who’s father is Jewish and who’s mother left Hungary to escape persecution, beit Mr. Brodie), … guess WE still remain talented, creative, successful and accomplished. They can try and wipe us away, but our genes 🧬 and WORK survive in the long lasting Arts and Sciences!
GOAT movie

Good God
This gave me ADD
The guy picks interesting projects, but he is an absolute void of likability. Imagine what a great interview Billy Zane would’ve done with this airtime.
