How wonderful to be able to keep this textile business in this day and age! In France there still are a few who make the same using traditional patterns and some beautiful rich fabrics. Love how clean, neat and well organized she is in her kitchen. And she doesn't mind the double work/time to achieve better quality for her dough. Love that textured cotton fabric of her utensil bag; I would have it as bed covering in the summer. Wish I could get my hands on some of that broth with a piece of toasted Italian bread. I had to rewind to look at those beautiful smiles on those beautiful faces of those young ladies at the table. So pretty. As a citrus fanatic, I should try the dried lemon sometime. Tanti Auguri indeed and Happy and Safe Holidays to you all.
Buon Natale to all the Pasta Grannies staff and a big thank you for bringing us these heart warming videos and tanti auguri to all the wonderful nonne conserving these precious culinary traditions..
What a delight to watch this talented granny make such a lovely meal for her family. Thank you for letting me, and all your viewers, learn more about how pasta is made.
Thank you so much for the absolute pleasure you give to so many people ❤️. We love your programme, and when we are away from Italy it brings us closer. Buona Natalie to you all, the producers and the participants, we are a family ✋🥂
A true delight to see her make such a lovely meal for her family. And it's charming to see the classical cloth pressing methodologies still being used.
I bet these cappelleti are delicious! Merry Christmas to Pasta Grannies and to all the nonnas who make the holidays warmer with their awesome cooking 💖
It's probably a real capon in the broth! They're still made in northern Italy and apparently taste different to both hens and cockrels, but considering the diffculty in removing internal bird testicles and consequent cost of a capon it's not surprising they're special occasion fare. I'm impressed by the expertise on show both with the pasta making (those cappalletti were made in moments!) and the rust and vinegar dyes...getting any dye to consistently behave itself whilst block printing takes great skill, never mind hand-mixed natural ones.
Merry Christmas to you, your crew and these glorious ladies! The stunning textiles were an added bonus. Cappelletti are delicious whether filled with meat or cheese and Guilia’s dignity shines through. Thanks!
Merry Christmas to all from East Texas!🎄I just love this channel so much! I feel so connected to all these women! My ancestors would approve! I wish I could've met my great grandmother and great great grandmother from Sicily... What I would give to have a conversation with the two of them and the other women in our familia. On my mother's side they were all Polish! My dad was Italian, my mom was Polish, and what a union they made! It made for some really interesting conversations, and some very beautiful children! The conversations were usually really loud!!! Her kitchen was so nice, I wish I could've smelled what she had simmering on the stove and her family looked very lovely too! The family business, what a long lasting treasure that is! Ciao!
Fantastic. My mother in law used to make hundreds and hundreds every Christmas using ricotta, ,Parmigiano and ground up, left-over roasted turkey seasoned with sage. A very different taste but we devoured every single one. Buon Natale!
Oh my goodness she is too adorable!! Making those is painstakingly labour intensive and she did with so much joy and love- God bless her and her family!! ❤️💖 Buon Anno Nuovo!! 🥂
My family is from Talamello, not far from Gambettola. We have the same holiday tradition of making cappelletti, but with a meat filling. They are wonderful.
Another lovely Pasta Granny! The textile work is gorgeous! I want one of those table cloths! And the pasta looks delicious, and so cute! I'm amazed at the perfect, thin sheet the grannies can roll out. Such expert technique!
Thank you Pasta Grannies for a wonderful year of delicious pasta dishes and wonderful and amazing Grannies!!!!!! A very Merry Christmas 🎄 to you all and a blessed New Year 🥳🤍❤️💚
Oh nice, that would make a lovely starter soup for Christmas lunch; or any other time for that matter. That stock had such a lovely golden hue. Wishing you, your family & team, plus all the Pasta Grannies & followers a very happy Christmas/Holiday; and "may all yer lums reek" for 2023.🎄
Happy New Year James. I haven't heard of the expression 'Lang may all yer lums reek' for decades - it was on a set of shot glasses my parents had! The golden hue of the stock is thanks to the tomatoes and, according to Giulia, the chicken fat. Best wishes, Vicky
I made fresh pasta yesterday for lunch today with my mother-in-law who is 99 years old! Unfortunately, none of us are Italian, so we're not candidates for the channel. 🎄🥰
Every Christmas day of my life I've eaten meat filled tortellini in brodo as the first course. Mine are already made, and so is the brodo. That gives me today and tomorrow to cook the fish.
Tanti aguri e Buon Natale a tutti i nonni di 'Pasta Grannies' - I love watching these videos, and would love to experience an Italian Christmas. My friends in Milano have sent me some local cheeses to add to our British fare, plus we have some frizzante from the Romangia region, but I still want to experience the real thing 🙂
Now I know where my mom got the wooden stamp I inherited. I knew she must have gotten it on one of her many, many, many trips to Europe. She used fabric dye instead of iron oxide and now the stamp is a shelf sitter.
What a treat to see her! I wonder if she knows the anwser to my question, since she freezes her stuffed pastas like that. Mine always cracks in the freezer and then fall appart when cooking them. I tough it was because my dough was rolled too thin but now I realise it's not it. -from a handmade pasta lover in Quebec, Canada
Her cooking cuffs are interesting! What is their main purpose? I’m not familiar with them. Are they a regional kitchen item? Or have I missed seeing them in other videos? Love the videos!

Such a pro. She has beautiful hands. And, what a heritage with their textile business. Wonderful!
The textiles are awsome! What a great and noble family!

Could she be more charming? Merry Christmas to you, Vickie, to all the lovely Grannies, and to all the fans.
I am Italian, and I assure you that cappelletti with capon broth (accompanied by a great red wine) are one of the best dishes of Italian cuisine
A true delight to see her make such a lovely meal for her family. And it's charming to see the classical cloth pressing methodologies still being used.
Thanks for your appreciation Simon! best wishes, Vicky

My heaven's. The broth looks amazing. The amount of work she is doing explains why it's done for special occasions.

They are little works of art! Buon Natale to you Vicky and the crew that makes this all possible for us to enjoy the visits with the Pasta Grannies.
