So league of legends is an arena style pvp game. It's on such a massive scale, checking out the championships after you've watched all these would put it in perspective. This was a video made for the world's tournament of that year. Each year they do one of these, along with tons of others peppered in through the year for new playable champions, cosmetic skin lines etc. Their animation team and the artists they team up with to make soundtracks for them are top tier. The joke is Riot games, that music company that makes games too. In this particular video the characters are all big players from the tournament represented holding the weapons of the champions they played. The final "boss" guy with all the blue energy is a player named "Faker" who is considered the best player in league history. He has somewhat recently been dethroned though.
Oh man, you have found a rabbit hole here, there's so many good League of legends videos, between their world's promos like this one, the three bands made form the game characters that have full albums and music videos out, or the number of just amazing other animations, there is a ton to unwrap here. League itself is a game that opened up back in... 2009 I think? Its become globally popular over the years and no small part of that is the amazing stuff the company puts out like these videos. There is a netflix series announced, as some other mentioned here as well, but I don't believe it is out yet other than a couple trailers.

Their opening ceremonies are effectively half-time shows, too, and the developers make an original song every year for them.
