After his death in 1993, Beyond was never the same. Not one song since was able to match their glorious days when they were a team in full. The legacy ended with his death sadly. Yet it is without a doubt, the popularity matches the likes of Nirvana and the beatles in the west. Beyond remains to be a reference unmatched by any group from Asia in their own generation or thereafter. Their songs had achieved an equal to folk songs status. The tunes and melodies shall always live in the hearts of many including mine.
+Ray Shade Yeah Beyond was definitely unique for HK music. I try to listen to performances and new releases from the band since Ka Kui died but it's just not the same.
No disrespect to the other Beyond members but Ka Kui was on a different level. Matter of fact, he was on a whole different level compared every single artist at that time. Sadly, it was too late for Hong Kong to realize. Ka Kui was a legit musician, he wasn't brought to stardom like most stars because of looks or artists that came from acting. He was a wizard at guitar, had unique voice with incredible range and also wrote outstanding songs. Those three combines makes him a complete artist. Legend.

Such amazing & timeless music that even today whenever i listen to Beyond's music, i still get emotional esp coz of Jiaju's enigmatic voice.. i have never listened to asian music & Beyond changed that when i stumbled upon one of their tunes almost 20 years ago... they r truly one of the only musicians from asia who made REAL music!

從前在車上首聽這場不插電演唱會的CD的時候就已經納悶為什麼在最後一首海闊天空裡尾段的長吼，家駒收的似乎有點急碎，原來在3:58的時候，人道主義者、感性博愛的家駒在當時的情緒下已經開始波動，可能是因為這首歌曲對他們BEYOND樂隊十年來的心路歷程有著重要的意義或者演唱會進入了尾聲必須和歌迷道別，或者又將要啟程回到令樂隊感到苦澀的日本重商業娛樂圈種種……我想只有家駒自己心裡知道。我以上所闡述的在影片裡3:47家駒眼中那反射出來的淚光可以見證我的論點。

我可愛可憐、勞累疲倦內心孤獨的家駒，在祂當時的內心對比於那強大商業娛樂化的環境趨勢裡，一定很希望能有更多的樂迷能聽得懂了解祂在音樂裡面所想表達的聲音，也更希望唱片公司能給與樂隊更多的自由來主導整個原創音樂的理念吧……。
beyond是我的啟蒙團,讓我進入搖滾的世界,一直到現在我都還在聽他的歌,不要說有多少人比家駒會寫會唱,在那個搖滾.金屬流行的年代,歐美上百.上千的搖滾唱片在市場上,光一個槍與玫瑰就可以橫掃世界,80~90年代的香港或者台灣流行口水歌,玩搖滾樂等於"送死",起碼從沒一個樂團成功過,beyond最早期真的狠rock,家駒能在商業和搖滾找到一個生存空間,甚至讓日本市場注意他,這已經非常的不容易,整個華人市場只有家駒辦得到
