You are correct about them being a stickler about who hits the button.
Some are stricter than others
The wife and I play together most of the time. When we hit a hand pay ,it takes them forever to decide who hit the button.
We tell them it does not matter as it al goes into the same account and comes out of the same account.
We were in one place and they could not tell for sure which one of us hit the button.
About an hour latter they finally came out and ask if we would agree that it was the wife just for a little 1200.00 jackpot

It’s the law in Oklahoma. Each person spinning would be in charge of paying taxes on any jackpot. This way I can cover taxes for them and ensure that the money will be split amongst players equally, rather than entrusting the money with a “stranger” lol
