I’m glad you found an island in Hawaii you like. The road to Hana in Maui reminds me of the Big Island. So lush, tropical, waterfalls, black sand beach, lava rock and jungle like. We went to Haleakala volcano on Maui, but I liked Kilauea better. You need a redo of Maui just for the road to Hana experience. 😬 One of the big main things Maui is know for. Definitely eat at some food trucks. I give that advice for each island.

We actually talked about that on this trip…. Maybe we need to give Maui another try. Also, I have to be careful with the food trucks…. Most don’t offer GF options.

@@AngieKadow73Oops, I didn’t think about the food trucks and GF. The road to Hana is a full day of sightseeing, but you don’t need a full week on Maui. Maybe 4 or 5 days to go to Wailea and Makena Beach, Kaanapali beach walk area and Kaanapali beach, Kapalua, road to Hana and throw in an extra day for the volcano for sunrise or sunset. I would include Lahaina but that beautiful town is destroyed and not being rebuilt yet.
You can even go to the Hawaiian islands of Lanai or Molokai from Maui. They are small are more for honeymooners. I would go to Kauai for a whole week though.
