Watching Anthony‘s passion for the Arp and Moog universe, I can imagine how bored he must have been with the Yamaha DX7 that conquered the pop charts around 1984.😄
Honestly I have fallen in love with Anthony. Generous, deeply knowledgeable, fantastic synths and best of all his passion, genuine warmth and unwavering enthusiasm.
One day at the Moog factory in cheektowaga, NY (SUBURB of BUFFALO) the engineers opened up an ARP to find a MOOG component covered with epoxy.. I love how Tony Banks and Neil Larsen use the ARP and the Moog guys, too many to mention
At this point for me Moog is the Rolls-Royce and ARP is the Bentley. Similar, majestic, but if you like sexy, sporty, more raw the Bentley is the the only choice. Any MoogARP shootout I gotta go with ARP. Love these vids!!!
This was a win for the viewer.😊 I love how the quality of sound coming from the Moog is not significantly better in anyway, but just enough for your brain to justify the cost difference 😅.
I really like the addition of the clock on the Moog, becuase these machines aren't only for making sounds, but they are also time machines. Sit down with one and suddenly four hours has passed...
Synth heaven! 😇Definitely more of stuff like this pleeease! 😃 Maybe a song/tune in the future when both synths can do their magic in a musical context. Love it. ...And thank you! 😉👍
Cool, fun and educational all at the same time….mostly cool. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 how about comparing Berhringer System 55 and 2600 together then with vintage Moog and ARP 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
The Moog has a slick, clean sound, which is lovely and all, but I love how much harder the Arp hits. It has a rougher, more raw and geometric sound. I could feel those bass tones punch me.
I had one not so long ago but I sold it because i have too many monos including a model d. Overall the build quality is ridiculous and soundwise it's similar to a Moog in a way but not as warm-sounding its more aggressive and brighter, its perhaps a better lead bass synth and lead synth compared to a model d etc etc. The Behringer is a fantastic clone bud, Don't be put off by the synth snobs its the real deal.
We need the 2600 masterclass by you Anthony.
My Korg ARP 2600 M is standing by & ready!
Yes, please!!🎉🎉
Oh yes. My ttsh needs so knowledge.
Do it please!
Ooh, that would be amazing!

Well when you can afford a FM monster like the Synclavier anything else pales in comparison...
We have one of the best programmers of synths explaining us the power of both machines. Love this.
Honestly I have fallen in love with Anthony.

I finally pulled the trigger on an App 2600 M after you heralded the original as your all time favorite synth, and I'm glad that I did!
Holy Guacamole that was some gnarly synth riffage! Great episode. Do more of these please. Just wish this had been longer!
Unbelievable capabilities. And I am not only talking about the gear... Thank you for this insight.

This is a masterclass right here folks.

Love it! More like this please!
The possibilities of what you doing is endless……. Thanks both.

Don’t worry it’s coming soon
Best video series on synth earth ❤
Would love to see you guys continuing this! You both are the perfect symbiosis!
It's like comparing the sound of the engines of two supercars. They both sound amazing.
Win Win, both classics.
Great video. Nothing beats the Moog Modular for bass. I'm Moog Source bass for life though.
Both has so incredible unique sound what I like :)
Cool, fun and educational all at the same time….mostly cool.

I would describe the results as smooth vs gritty
Great stuff. Really enjoyed this.

Man that 2600 CRANKS so hard
Yup Kick Butt Sound is what we Want !
The Arp 2600 M ended up being $1,150 on Sweetwater for such a small period of time. You know i had to get it 😎🎶
Great call !! You won’t be disappointed
anthony, you really have in a pocket that synth!
David vs Goliath David holds his ground
Great video for us common folk that will never get to touch one of these machines in real life.
Some of us own a behringer clone . Anthony please make a video using the b2600 , I’m sure that you can make it sounds great also .
plaese please please, hahahah!
at least, explain us that preamp routing trick
Gracias Amigo!!!
Notice at 2:54 how the ARP 2600 has a ringing that is distinctive to the instrument.
Battle of the Titans.

👌👍from God's own country, kerala
The older the better the sound I too figured out long ago but soundwise I coud not decide between them.
Didn’t I hear you mention one time that you ran your 2600 through a ladder filter? Or something along that line?
💙
My ears are bleeding but a smile on my face
Don't suppose I was the only one who winced at 8:37's double entendre.
is the behringer arp 2600 worth it ?

thanks for the input @@err4071
Lord almighty.
The ARP crushes the Moog!
THE MOOG WINS - EASYILY !!!
just get both ... LOL
these are some deep farts
Why can’t we work together?😃
Moog always.
What makes you say that? The 2600s are built rather crappy. My friend has an Uliarp 2600 and it's awesome. @@edrzee
@@RhythmiconsBuild quality =/= sound. See: Roland TB-303, Anything PIAA ever made, TE, etc.
Fortunately Moog has the tone and the quality. I'm not shitting on ARP but there's simply no comparison. Solution: own both.@@nobodynoone2500
The Mini was probably a better comparison than a modular. It would still be difficult to choose. @@edrzee
Anthony show us the patching you did in this video . Your skills make better sound and 2600 is winner here ! Thanks both of us !!!❤
BEASTS!!!!!
