    Great Live Stream!! Very informative, especially for first-time cruisers like my husband and I. We will be celebrating our 23rd anniversary and going to Alaska inside passage. My question is, do the cruise lines help you celebrate when there are things like birthday or anniversaries?

    • @CruiseTipsTV
      @CruiseTipsTV  7 лет назад +2

      +Sandra Ericson happy anniversary to you. I'm sure you'll enjoy your cruise to Alaska. Yes most cruise lines can help you to celebrate your birthday or anniversary. For example Princess will put some wall decorations on your front door. What line are you sailing with?

    So happy to see the repeat of the live stream. There was some info you mentioned that I missed. Wish your answers were "in writing" like our questions, so I could check back and see what you said. And for some reason, no closed captions with the live stream!!
    BTW - the cruise ship books I've read were by Dr Paul Davis (who had been a cruise doctor a while ago). Some are mysteries - but with interesting behind the scenes facts about being a cruise doctor. The books are fiction, but based on his actual experiences. A little long and verbose (and for some reason, many things were repeated), but still interesting! When I was on FB, i became "friends" with Dr Paul Davis! His experiences are from the "glory days" of cruising - way before all the new high tech stuff, but full of unusual and interesting stories.

    Didn't ask during live stream, but have you seen the info on the new Princess Majestic. It looks fabulous. Wonder if the Hollywood pool has a swim up bar?
    On one of my shore excursions that was a catamaran to a small private beach, the bar staff served us our beverages while we were floating in the beautiful Caribbean Ocean. We all stayed near the catamaran - did some snorkeling, and had our drinks brought to us! Also had a nice snack/lunch on the beach!

    Just ordered 3 things from your Amazon marketplace!! BTW - if you're doing the fish pedicure, maybe you should get your hair braided too (even with short hair, I get bombarded by people asking to braid my hair). And I'll stick to a regular pedicure - so relaxing!!

    I missed the live stream but was so happy to watch it after. Well done! I was wondering what is the latest we can disembark our ship ( RCCL Freedom)? We have booked a hotel in Barcelona in May but we are unable to check in until about 3pm post cruise. We don't really want to haul our luggage everywhere until we can get into our room.

    Help! Two questions: Going in first cruise for 25th wed anniversary. (NCL GEM Dec 2-10 San Juan, St. Marteen, St Thomas and Tortolla) Gift from my MIL. So so excited
    1: I have heard horrible stories of food especially buffets and dining room. We do have 4 specialty restaurant nights, should we purchase more nights for specialty? Have some dietary restrictions.
    2: Going to be in Tortolla for only 7am-1pm,. We were debating on ziplinning or Virgin Baths....which I would absolutely love to do but heard it is super crowded on port days, is there enough time to go and enjoy? any excellent shore excursions places to Virgin Baths you would suggest?

    • @CruiseTipsTV
      @CruiseTipsTV  7 лет назад

      Hey Christine! I think you're fine with 4 nights of specialty! The buffets are excellent, in my experience, and there will be lots of choice. With regard to Tortola, I strongly suggest you book through NCL in this case. It may be crowded on Virgin Gorda, but a hike is required to reach the baths, so that may be a small deterrent. Please join our livestream in two weeks, as we'll be featuring Caribbean ports and shore-ex with our sponsor, cruiseline.com.

    • @ready2cworld997
      @ready2cworld997 7 лет назад

      Thanks so much! I was nervous about food when some peoples reaction. But I much rather spend money on shore excursions! I will wait to see what NCL offers for Tortolla then. nothing like ending the short by getting left at port!! I will try to catch the livestream.....live...usually I miss it and watch it after you post...but so glad you post it I LOVE all your videos! Better then Netflix!

    Hi Sherry! Love the content on your channel. I find myself browsing for cruises. I'm a avid cruiser with my family and travel with our 1 1/2 year old son often, which is always an adventure. I was thinking it might be kind of cool for you guys to do outfits of the evening or daytime. Maybe weekly what you guys wore during the duration of your cruise and/or a video on traveling with babies! Our first cruise with the little one was a learning curve. We ran out of diapers! Luckily my sister in law had a little one and we used a few of their diapers. Anyway! Love the information you guys provide, keep the videos coming!

    • @CruiseTipsTV
      @CruiseTipsTV  7 лет назад +1

      Hey Joanna! YES, we plan to do a "what to wear" episode on our next Cruise, with photos. Not sure yet if it will JUST be me, or if I can get hubby onboard to show his outfits.
      The diaper experience you shared is a common one! Have you seen our recent cruising with kids episode?

    • @marcyloucks6825

      hi sherry I am marcy Loucks from Canada and I want to know if there are cruises that we Canadians can go on?

    • @bbergs8628
      @bbergs8628 7 лет назад +2

      Marcy Loucks - Definitely there are cruises from Canada (Montreal/Ontario) especially on Holland America. Either leaving from Canada to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, St. John and New England (Maine - Acadia National Park, Boston, Newport, RI and then disembarking in NY (Brooklyn), or vice versa - or they have round trip cruises. And on the west coast, many cruises from Vancouver to Alaska or down the west coast to Oregon, San Fran., Los Angeles and San Diego!!
      I've done the Vancouver to Alaska cruise, and the New England from Brooklyn, but I haven't gone to Montreal yet (just Nova Scotia and Maine, MA. And RI)! Hope this helps you!!

    Great advice on tips. Years ago, we used to smuggle some liquor on board :( so ice was a necessity. As you like ice, add to your not that you know he is busy so when he gets a chance, can you bring some ice. You will be well supplied. I always find one or two bartenders and regularly give them tips. They make you great drinks and give you good service. On our recent trip on the Epic, we only had to sit on our stools and the drinks appeared! Great video.

    • @CruiseTipsTV
      @CruiseTipsTV  7 лет назад

      +Boat Lover did you have the drink package on Epic?

    • @boatlover1875
      @boatlover1875 7 лет назад

      We did. It is one of our favorite things about the cruise line. If you drink more than 2 or 3 drinks it pays for itself as you have to pay the gratuity on the normal cost. We just booked a Lattitudes insider offer for April on the Gem out of NY since we had so much fun! The new program is great as you reported, the insider offer provides double points.

    Was on the Epic for 14 days got home last Saturday. We went to Mr. Sanchos and loved it. The staff is awesome, I didn't find it overly wild at all. We were also in Tortola, a fellow passenger went on an island tour and found it very interesting. The "foot" fish are pretty wild at the beginning it is a bit startling but you get used to it.
