Thanks to you bought one for my wife. It's amazing. Power isn't there but she won't be drag racing. Smooth handling, nice tech, solid leather seats. Kia is doing something right

Manual tailgate? Not even on the key fab?

Looks nice, I also can’t wait to see the 2025 Forte/K4 with a similar headlight design to this Sorento

I upgraded my Stinger GT-Line with this one. My payment went $25 up. Love it

I do hope they managed to make this new one more reliable.

This revised Sorento may well be the best looking vehicle in its class. I would avoid the panoramic sunroof, awd and, if possible, the third row seating. Like the low profile dash configuration. I think the 2.5L/8 spd. trans. is plenty, esp. w/o the sunroof, awd, etc. "baggage". Hyunda/Kia group is really upping their game! Price with those possible mentioned deletions would also be more manageable for real world budgets. Wolf Grey is nice..imagine it with a very muted darker red interior. This would be a logical step up from a Sportage or Tucson which I think are mostly enough for anyone. Very good review, as always!

Thanks Louis. They finally stepped up the tech. Boy it needed it.

May I ask why would you avoid AWD on this vehicle?

I agree with you except for the AWD (because I live in Michigan lol). I would avoid the sunroof for the weight savings/reliability (exploding sunroofs/cost savings). Also, I would stay away from the 2.5T engine with the dual clutch transmission. They’ve had reliability issues with the engine… The base engine will be slow, but you don’t buy this kinda car because it’s fast. You buy it because it’s practical! Very nice upgrade for 2024.

I have driven Toyota, Honda, Acura, Nissan. And one day I decided to try with KIA, I bought a 2022 KIA FORTE. It's AMAZING, it changed my mind about KIA, it’s very nice!

Just under $40 grand and there's no power liftgate? My Nissan Rogue in SV trim comes with power hatch and a turbo that gets 36 mpg on the hwy and it was $30 grand. Hmm....

The s I just looked at was power lift gate. The xline has auto lift gate
Where you just walk upto it and it opens

So not only did they use the universally hated touch controls for the AC menu, but they also made that sad-looking single row of touch controls carry a double duty. Absolutely horrendous and poorly thought out design. Good review though, so thanks.
