Why don't you try putting the bit in a vise and use the grinder to sharpen it? It would be much safer controlling the grinder than that tiny bit. Better than losing a finger McNugget. You could also use an old chuck for a drill and hold the bit in that and clamp that in a vise or hold it by hand if you have no vise. You would at least have some additional distance from your fingers.

thats cool. but how to sharpen the top edge of the drill bit ? mine got dull on the top edge. because i frequently using the 3mm size to drill my RC chassis. its got dull now. 😂😂 next time practice safety precaution dude. u never know whats gonna happen with that style of grinding method u use.

Sooner or later, you are going to be one of those guy's walking around with fingers missing and embarrassed to tell the story. good idea, but you most know that has to be 65% covering the disk file of the grainder, many accident over the year and use glove and eyecover.
So if I was using my bench grinder?. Should I clamp the bit in the vice and hand hold the bench grinder? And it's still safer than a submarine
