I think the mentality and skill level feed into each other. For players who are bad (and have an ego), then every kill is precious, and each kill is worth humiliating their opponent over. Where as, if you're good, a kill's a kill. For those who have an ego, deaths and losses are almost never seen as the result of a difference in skill or decision making between them and their opponent, but instead other things (eg. he was using a certain weapon, he got lucky, etc.). As a result, they don't learn from their mistakes, or from their opponent's success, and rarely improve. Plus, people with egos are much more prone to tilting when they start to lose, and tilting only makes them lose harder.

I randomly discovered this video and dont really know the streamer, but I can imagine the hundreds or thousands of hours he has already invested in the game, so its not surprising at all he can land his shots - thats actually expected of people like him. Whereas the kid playing against him, although a complete a**hole, very likely isnt even close when it comes to hours invested in the game
