There is a difference between things being scripted and hunters just being nice. Pearl is a youtuber himself, he could tell that if he already killed downplay it would be too short a video, so he could easily just have let him go for the content without any of it being scripted

it is definitely staged 2:50 the hunters placed a boat randomly and let him escape,aint no way the hunters are that dum
Pearl placed the boat and immediately started towering. I assume the boat was meant for pearl so he could get down again. That is also why pearl aimed for the boat when he jumped off to chase downplayed. And I’ll have you know pearl and phoenix are not very experienced manhunt players(Sorry pearl and phoenix).
