Watched this the night before we hiked this route and this was such a great primer. Thanks for taking the time to do this and your other vids. My daughter will be able to check this video out anytime she wants to remember our hike. Keep up the good work.
I've been watching a bunch of similar videos lately, often with good headphones, and I was kind of shocked by how good your audio quality is. I was going to ask how, but instead, thanks for answering that question so well with videos (ETM-008, with windscreen), and linking them from the description. I ended up at this video because somebody recommended Jackson as a first 4000 footer.
No problem Darxus. I use the ETM-001 as my goto mic for the GoPro (with the windscreen!) and use the ETM-008 for my lapel mic (usually review or demo videos). You can hear the ETM-008 recorded through a ZOOM H1 in all my most recent Appalachian Trail gear videos. The ETM-001 does some pretty crazy voodoo magic for audio. I don't quite get how but it works REALLY well! Thanks for watching!
Hey I did this hike today. Didn't have the luck you had by beating the ⛈ on way back. I was 1.5 miles from trailhead when it poured :-( You video was a great resource in my hike planning! Thanks Chris.

Thanks for making this :)
Thanks for these 4000 footer videos, they are helpful of what to expect.
