Damn Cheechoo absolutely assassinated the Ducks that year, scoring 3 hatricks against them in addition to other goals. Does anyone know if three hatricks against one team in a season is a record?
That sounds like it probably is. I remember I think in 05-06 Kovalchuk had 2 hat tricks and a 2 goal game vs The penguins, 5 goals in back to back nights lol
@@NewDesignVinylGraphics I ended up digging into this awhile back. From what I found, the only other instance was Jari Kurri in the conference finals against (I think the Blackhawks) in one of those 80s years, like 87 or 88. He scored, I think 11 goals in 5 games, which included 3 hat-tricks. Crazy, although I give more respect to Cheechoo given that it wasn’t the 80s, and he wasn’t playing with Gretzky and the gang. Thornton is obviously one of the goat play makers, but I think one of Cheechoos hat-tricks was without him.
The jerseys, the physicality and dazzle, this era was perfect
Those jerseys we're sick af
Jordan Bolduc he kinda looked like kylo ren too lol I was 20 back then I had the black alternate
Dude exactly
Still Gives me goosebumps.
I never knew that story about his grandma getting him his first pair of skates.
I love that - and I'm not even a Sharks fan.
Couple years later he was playing in Binghamton... Fell from grace fast
