Its really easy for me to keep my curls defined throughout the week and people always compliment my hair. My specific routine is washing my hair on saturdays (Leaving shampoo in for ~2 minutes and conditioner in for ~3 minutes) then I towel dry my hair but I make sure to just “pat” my hair to be as gentle as possible. Then I put Miss Jessies Baby Buttermilk Moisturizer on my hair. I wait 20 minutes, then I start finger coiling my hairs to make my hair more defined, and throughout the week in the morning I just give my hair a little lift with my pick. And btw I use Coco Magic Shampoo and Suave Lush and Coily Conditioner.
@@My_Cal After you wash and condition your hair, put some leave in conditioner (if you use too much, your curls will be soft, but frizzy and if you use too little they'll be define but crunchy) in your hair in small sections (if you want/need to brush it into your hair, do so). The leave in will add moisture so you won't have dry, crunchy, stiff curls. Repeat the same steps with some gel (I think wetline xtreme gel is great for all hair types, but you can use whatever works for you), but this time you can brush (use a styling brush) shingle, or rake your fingers through each little section to separate the curls. I hope this helps.
Honestly it’s so much easier shampooing out the shower so you can see what you’re doing and then maybe twist up the sections so when you rinse they all stay in tact and then you just condition right on top and we’re e the conditioner in each twists
Ima be honest personally i never wash my hair in 4 parts. It doesn't take me 30 minutes to shampoo because i don't use that method. I have thick 4a-4b hair. What i do is emulsify the shampoo inbetween my hands and i let the water in my shower help my hair fully take in all of the shampoo. You can part your hair into 4, shampoo it twice. I think you might find your hair is mostly just as clean with minimal time. You have beautiful hair and a lot of it and those of us with a lot of hair need to save some time 😭
be sure to look for hair products that's for your hair POROSITY not hair TYPE. to check your hair porosity, you just get a single strand of your hair from a brush (i recommend a comb, its easier finding a strand) and put it a cup of water. the more the strand sinks, the higher the porosity.
What is your hair type?? And is your true hair texture when you defined cuz if so i have like 4a-4b... My hair gets super wavy in the front and the side and back get curly
@@Bbyface._Amayaa ohh alright... Can't grow my afro no more bro teachers telling me I gotta cut it but she just vex she cyah grow hair pon she head top stupzz deh always want to tell😭
What you mean you “soak” your hair in water? Is this different from running water through it? Are you literally putting your head in a container of water?
@@AJfinitymaybe not for shampoo but my hair is long and textured like his and I follow up with different treatments and it can be a bitch to detangle so yes way some people spend more than 2 hours washing their hair
Must be nice to have the best of both worlds! You can have an afro or defined curls depending on what you feel.
The curls disappear as soon as his hair dries
Fax bro idk how to keep mine☹️
@@DeBlauweOlifantNope curling cream and/or gel can keep the curls defined the whole day. Also an afro is still curly

Gotta respect this. The amount of effort it takes to care for this is insane.
I had long straight hair and never had to put this much effort into it so hats off.
All hair types take effort. Don't try to make hair types like his seem more difficult than others.
@@charlajefferson9220 Not really, all I got to do is shower with shampoo and conditioner. His takes time, hes putting the effort in.
