Well I mean topspins aren’t too op. You just have to know how to dig them correctly then it’s not too bad. If it’s in a professional league like this then receiving players will know how to dig a topspin
Samantha Bricio looks like a pro playing against high school players. She's so dominant from all over the court and seems to make everyone around her better. I've only seen her play once and I can tell she has a killer instinct. Like the Michael Jordan of volleyball! Definitely a fan after watching this. #TeamBricio

Her limbs are long so her vertical jump is high plus she makes use of her wing span to really go the highest peak of her spike. With enough power and the momentum from the approach starting from the highest peak she spike the ball with much spin for more speed and uses that technique for control. Not to mention her ritual beforehand is consistent. She's really a good server.

Super fun to watch this. In high school gym class I learned how to do the over hand serve with top spin. On the rare occasion it worked, it was amazing how the ball would whip over the net and then arc downwards. I could basically target the weakest player on the other team and they would jump out of the way. Of course after a few good ones, I would miss and blast one out of bounds. Volleyball is good fun.

I miss seeing her play for my beloved alma mater so much! (Don't tell my wife, she was a big reason we went to several USC volleyball matches when she was on the roster.) FIGHT ON, SAMANTHA!
She literally uses the jump float technique, but then gives the ball a bit of top spin which allows her to put a bit more power behind her hit... It's safer than a full jump (top spin) serve, but way easier to defend...
