The GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition remaster is just 11 days away from release and while Grand Theft Auto lets you do just about anything, there are a few things that you cannot. Like climbing ladders in GTA San Andreas, Swimming in Vice City and GTA III or even motorcycles in GTA III! There are 100+ GTA Trilogy Facts I could list off but some of these "facts" can actually be implemented as changes in the GTA Trilogy Remaster. Like Flying the Dodo in GTA III. It would be amazing if Rockstar made the plane flyable or if they remodeled Vic Vance's character model in the Vice City Remaster Intro Cutscene. Even if we aren’t able to swim as Claude or Tommy, I think the improved GTA V style controls will make it less possible to fall into the water and drown.
the lore wouldnt allow for swimming, also it would break a couple missions. in gta 3 the watter is polluted from a massive oil spill in the harbour making it toxic. in vice city there is a storm blocking off the other islands and th sharks making the waters too dangerous, i felt like it was a cool detail. i agree the controlls being updated will be the best improvement

Claude needs to remain voiceless. It works with him and it makes him unique as a protagonist. He just shows up to his place of business, takes the job and just does what he has too. A cold and silent man for hire.
Why would they make him talk? Pretty sure he is confirmed to have a mute disorder
And let's not forget his origins when he got shot in the nick in the GTA 2 trailer it caused him to lose his vocal courts which made him to not talk at all CLOUD was lucky if the bullet was a little bit to the right he would have been dead by now

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was my game!! In the remaster, I hope that they improve the whole game for the better. Let CJ be able to climb up and down ladders. They should make it where he can interact with people more.
I grew up with that game it would be so awesome to see them add in those features especially interacting with people. It’s a shame you can’t interact with NPC’s more, and obviously the ladder thing is just annoying why put it in the game when it can’t be used. The game is already great as is but I hope they improve that as well not just the graphics.

we got just about nothing we had hoped for and yet people are still praising it. this remaster was designed to ONLY pander to the "wow these graphics are slightly less outdated" crowd.

I'd also like to add the option to have the camera high when driving in third person. GTA 5 is the only game that has that option. The other games you have to do it manually even GTA 4. It makes driving easier for me personally. It'd also be kind of cool to be able to customize the characters a little more at least in GTA3 and VC. Maybe have more outfits or different color variations of the older outfits.
Same. I love the driving in 5 more than any other game I’ve played. It bugs me so much when I’m playing Far Cry 6 and you’re forced into first person. You just drive so much better in third. And they let you change the view so easily. They really need to add that since the game is so heavily focused on driving I mean it’s even in the name.
High or Low camera setting was added to the mobile port of GTA San Andreas, so they are probably going to add it. At least it is possible.
I can 100 percent remember the most frustrating thing in San Andreas was being in a boat outside the airport and not being able to climb the ladders... Thus making you drive all the way around to the country side to get back on land.

Gta 3 liberty city was based off multiple cities whereas gta 4 liberty city was meant to be a true rendition of New York City.

I played all 3 of them on the PS2 wonderful games, so many memories, I love GTA III, VC and SA
I'd love to see usable ladder, swimming, first person view, GTA 5 style car shooting, actual flyable planes and helicopters in 3 and VC, and just a bunch of features added to all 3 that were from later games. Most of all, GTA 4 or 5 style ragdoll physics and car damage physics
And for trash players like me retry from checkpoint makes it enjoyable

I was playing GTA 3 on the PS4 earlier in the year and what annoyed me was how easy the cars you drove could be damage and destroyed by just hitting other items
I'm going to buy the new Trilogy anyway, but one of my number-one gripes with GTA 3, is that you couldn't jump out of the car, while moving, especially before it was going to blow up. Also, if all three games have a decent duck-and-cover aim system, I'll be psyched!

Ragdoll physics would be a nice implementation if possible.
Man I get where you're coming from, but I gotta say, you don't know how glad I am to not have ragdoll physics in the old games, particularly San Andreas. Playing GTA V makes me feel like my character's made out of pudding. Trying to jump over a fence and just smashing your face in and falling on your back like a complete idiot has a way of ruining the feel of being a badass crime lord.

There won't be "gtav" gameplay. Its just a remaster not a remake in a new engine
@@mgiebus1869 well, it is running on unreal engine, but yes, it is a remaster. However changing the control scheme and making it feel more "modern" doesn't require the game to be remade, and a company like Rockstar should have no problem fixing that.

I don't, it was mentioned in the video that they changed the shirt of a person as censorship which makes me think they changed his character a little bit. Same with swimming might change the feeling of the game just a bit but enough.

I hope GTA3 Car impacts - Car setting on fire time has been extended. That was painfully infuriating
The real reason Claude and Tommy can't swim is obviously to stop them from reaching certain parts of the maps too early, just like John in RDR1.
Or they can just let the army took care of that problem and make it uncheatable so the player wont cross before the designated time
@@AndromedaPrima Rockstar didn't add the army until GTA San Andreas so they used the inability to swim instead.
I'd love swimming to be in Vice City and GTA 3, even if its just a small window just to get back onto dry land instead of an instant drowning.
I still wouldn’t want Claude to talk in gta3 remastered, it’s what makes his character unique from the others in my personal opinion.

I've played the hell out these games when I was a teen.. but I didn't buy a Series X to play it all over again with MINIMAL graphical improvements. Mafia 1 definitive edition was awesome as a remake tho.
One thing in San Andreas I hope they change is to enlarge some of the territories to take over. There were turfs that were literally the size of a sidewalk in front of a store. It was unnecessary and just made taking over the hoods that much longer to complete.

I remember as a kid, you could actually get the dodo across a large amount of the map on PS2.
It took a sickening amount of focus and practice, but easy to master after that 😁👍
What I really want is more NPCs walking around to make the cities feel less eerily lacking and empty

I just want improvements to Big Smokes shooting on the wrong side of the tracks mission. Even when you get a great angle using the high ground, Smoke still bricks all his shots lmao
U gotta drive the dirt bike past the train a good distance and wait and get off and pop they ass as they come by
Or just use the building near the train station and get on top of the train and do it yourself

Yes they should definitely add new songs into the radio stations, just like they did on the PS4 version of GTA V, I think Baltimora 'Tarzan Boy' would be a good addition to Flash FM on Vice City, and Howard Jones 'New Song' on Wave 103 also.

If they added swimming in GTA III and Vice City, that would break progression of the game since that means you could travel to the other areas early. In San Andreas, they added the swimming feature, but they also gave you a four-star wanted level if you tried swimming to Flint or Bone Counties early. It made sense there because CJ was being hounded by CRASH to not leave Los Santos, but there'd be no in-universe explanation for that to happen with Claude and especially not Tommy.
Maybe they could make it like Vice City Stories, where you drown if you're out in the water for too long and haven't unlocked the upgrade from the Beach Patrol side-missions.
They can literally just place invisible barriers to block off the ability to get to other locations before its time. But hell, you could jump the destroyed bridge in gta3 and get across that way anyways.
or yes, u could just travel to the other areas early. besides, there's nothing to do there.
What about gta eflc ? They unlocked other island early.
RDR2 swim physics, you can get in the water at the shore, but the further you swim the faster you die. GTA 3 should stay the same tho, the oil pollution makes sense

@@joelrodriguez2608 The cheat was CERTAINDEATH. As for definitive edition, it will be the exact same game. Just improved visuals, you won't get any gameplay logic changes, as well as cheat codes.

John Marston cant swim in Red Dead and Red Dead II, so, i dont expect too much changes.
My biggest request for San Andreas before it came out was a Walkman device. That way we can listen to the radio on foot! I’m still blown away that’s not option in GTAIV and GTAV with the smart phones available. Can anybody explain why they never added this!? It would be awesome if they added one to the trilogy.
Rockstar being lazy. Instead you are forced to hear ingame music during missions on GTA online.
One funny episode to the GTA protagonists being unable to swim is that in Driv3r, Reflections made their John Tanner protagonist able to swim and (out of revenged for that Two Faced Tanner missions), they added a bonus feature in free roam where you could kill off parodies of Tommy Vercetti wearing water wings.

now, i dont mean incredibly realistic like a simulator, close to reality but theyre at the point where its not just playing asseto corsa with a controller

I really wished they added more such as barbers, clothes shops, gyms. Just into vice city and gta 3 feel like they just add that bit more
Top 5 things I want in the definitive editions:
1. Car Customization for 3 and VC
2. More clothes options for 3 and VC
3. Body customization for 3 and VC
4. Girlfriends and dates for 3 and VC (not the full system, just of Maria at the very end and Mercedes maybe after the final colonel Cortez mission)
5. Passenger drive by for 3 and VC (though I think they all but confirmed that’s happening, I just don’t know for sure)
Honorable mention: coop for 3 and VC
None of these are gonna happen. The passenger drive by is happening for sure the clothing customization probably?? Maybe ? but all that other crap isn’t.

Claude can swim because of poison in the water and I guess Tommy never learnt to swim when he lives right next to a beach
