Weirdly enough, I was kinda expecting Etho to scan Sam and reveal a huge detail of his lore. Especially when you consider that Sam and two of his friends survived a girl murdering the entire town. No way that didn't go viral.

Main characters? Are you talking about the graves in the courtyard? Because one of those was teacher Gareth's, I'm not really sure he counted as a main but more of an important side character
