This is package i would buy, however my 15' outback is paid for, can't quite bring myself to have a car payment, only have 150 thou. on my car. thanks for your report!
I currently have a 2023 wilderness. I’m very happy with it except for the fuel mileage. I want the Onyx XT because it has less chrome, but the one thing I really want over and above what comes standard on the Onyx is Seat memory position. Without that I am forced to go to the limited XT. Bugger!
This 2025 Subaru Outback Onyx Edition almost comes out to the same price as the all new redesigned 2025 Subaru Forester Sport trim, for example. It'd be nice to see a cross comparison between the 2. Right off the bat i think the Forester comes with a bigger sun roof. On the other hand, the Outback comes with better exterior styling. They both have the same Startex seats. I dont think the Forester has heated steering though. I like that the Forester Sport has a black headliner. I prefer that over the beige in the Outback. Forester also offers hands free liftgate opening thing where you can swipe your foot under the rear bumper of the car to open up the trunk.
I rented and drove a 25 forester sport for a weekend, and then test drove the OB Onyx. I went with the OB, but the Forester sport was nice, and I felt the styling was great
It's time to replace my 11 years old car with 200,000 miles. Im looking at 2025 subaru outback onyx edition, lets see what specials do they have. Mainly looking for outback is because of the back space, if needed i can fold the back seat all the way down.
Thanks for the information, I live on the east coast so a turbo is not needed, however I am considering the 25 Outback to replace my 14 Outback and to me the seats the big draw should nice I do occasional 15 hour road trips, I am just not sure how the durability is.
In the one I test drove, the seats are very durable. The salesperson with me has had his Outback Wilderness with the same seats and said his dog's nails haven't scratched the material (but did his wife's leather in the Limited) and that he's even blotted up pizza grease with only a barely damp towel with no grease stain left behind. The dash and door panels have that same neat feel to them too
If the Startex interior wasn’t Gloomy Grey or Death Black that became popular in 1990, then our next Outback would be an Onyx. We Absolutely HATE the Old Outdated depressing grey or black interior colors that Every automaker has been shoving down everyone’s throats for 34 years. We LOVE the warm Ivory interior in my wife’s 19 Outback. Currently her 5 year old Outback has only 38K miles so hopefully by the time it wears out the automakers will get tired of the Outdated Grey and Black interior colors. My 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road came standard with the Death Black Leather interior, so I contacted Katzkin and had them make me Lava Red Leather seat covers with black trim and stitching. After Katzkin removed the Outdated Black Leather seat covers and installed the Lava Red Leather, I sold the black leather seat covers.
@@daliborrehounek9807 Did you know that it is a proven fact that when someone perceives that there’s civil unrest, shaky economies, no peace in the world as a whole and only doom is ahead of them that they flock to dark, depressing, closed in colors? But for people who are optimistic and see the world as stable, and have a good outlook on life, gravitate towards colors that are more bright, cheerful, welcoming and earthy? So it’s safe to say that you see the glass as 1/2 empty rather than 1/2 full. Perhaps you should seek counseling because of your depression
Just got mine yesterday, same color!! Love it so far
Test drove the Onyx XT and Premium. Premium with the option package fit my needs and found the seats a little more comfortable.

The Onyx Turbo Outback & Ascent are 2 of the best vehicles you can get for the price!

Does the Onyx HK Sound system come with a subwoofer? I woll get the CD upgrade soon.
Ignore me. I was looking for the amp. It is located under the drivers seat.
How about the Outback Hybrid model?
Working on my Credit so I can get one next year...

I def like the looks of the Onyx Edition, my only concern would be the seats in the summer time. How hot & breathable would they be or not be.
I test drove one yesterday and the dealer said they don't retain heat in summer (and I'm in the SE)
@chanflo4, hmm not sure I would/could fully trust what what a sales person says. A summer time test drive would def help clear things up.

Does it have a 360 degree camera?
I don't think so

Typical Subaru, they offer the good blue on some cars and not others. So the Outback is a no for me.
