I'm Indian but, what i realized is being Black has its positives but it also has its downfalls.. Being Black beings that your'e recognized as a very masculine, alpha male type person.. The problem is, alot of these rolemodels are also people who glamourize gangbanging, drugdealing, lust, scamming, etc.. Thus, its so easy to get caught up in all this stuff... and jeopardize your freedom.
When you're Indian, or lets even say Chinese, you aren't expected off back to be cool or tough.. Infact, you're expected to be smart and intelligent.. but also to be a bit soft, because alot of our representation in the media is passive characters, store clerks, nerds, etc.. not very masculine alpha male characters.. we also dont have much rolemodels in rap music or who are involved in gangs or bad things.. so its like we aren't as easily likely to follow that type of behavior or mindset.
