Advances in the Brazilian Hydrogen Programme perspectives for Brazilian-German cooperation

The geopolitics of hydrogen is taking shape globally and Brazil has sought to define its positioning. Discussions and consultations with different stakeholders have been instrumental in implementing the National Hydrogen Programme, which will guide the federal government's actions in developing the hydrogen sector in the next years. The webinar organised by the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin aims at presenting to the German public the main aspects of this process, including the imminent launch of the Programme’s Triennial Plan of Action (2023-2025) and a meeting with the private sector. The space for synergies in international cooperation with Germany are vast, exceeding the mere trade of sustainable energy, and going beyond a limited focus on solar and wind energy sources. Some Programme’s principles, such as “the recognition of the diversity of energy sources and technologies” and “the recognition of the national industry’s contribution” help shed light on cooperation perspectives.
