@toasty00v lmao faiiir. I was like- 6 or 7 at the time. I used to pretend I made music and show my parents even though it was just the pre-made songs they had on there.
I was eight years old when this came out; I can’t tell you the amount of hours I spent on making stupid doodles and songs on rainy days with this game. It was fun, and silly, and oddly relaxing. I get such warm memories from seeing the gameplay after three decades. (The little song at 0:40 pops into my head randomly sometimes).
The level of detail the Japanese put into games is incredible. I almost can't comprehend how a group of people could make this. It seems like it would take years, and you would need no corporate pressure. notice how the left edge of the paintbrush is the point where the color will start to fill. and there's a mini-animation of the brush as you fill. it's these subtle details that show a huge dedication to the design. not to mention the cartoony music, the erase animations..........It's almost like the programmers had nothing to do but think of this game for months straight. incredible
Man, this was easily my favorite game from when I was a child. I still remember every sound effect and action 30 years later. The music was just so damn good.
The memory of this just popped up in my head like I didn't forget about it the last 25 years 😂😱 I played this in the early to mid 90s and watching this video just gave me so much peace! 🙈
I was in awe of this game every time I played it. At least that's how I recall it now. The memories come flooding back with every note. Every speckle of paint. I am transported back to the texture of the carpet, the sound of the mouse buttons clicking, fighting with my sister for a turn. Everything.
The love I had for this game. I remember when my school first got computers. I was miles ahead of everyone else when it came to point and click. My mouse skills were on point.
I’m so glad I stumbled upon this. I’ve been trying to find it for years. I thought it was just a fever dream that I used to play this for hours on end. It’s nice to see it was real!
This was the original photoshop 😂😂 I remember playing this as a kid although it was definitely not new haha but now I'm a senior in college working on a bfa so you can see where that love originated haha
I’ve never actually played this game, but this is one of the best things Nintendo has ever made! I honestly find parts of the game comedic and hilarious!
oh man this game was great, it take me back to the 90s, awesome years for gaming and for nintendo, im glad i born on the 80s so i can see the evolution of gaming, by now i have 32 years playing, cheers to all my gamer friends.
Why’d they make the music so memorable. I play this and the relaxing theme on 10 hour RUclips clips 😂. The no lyrics help me focus more on the work and be productive.
I have bad memories of Mario Paint. Me, my sister, and our friend were trying to call this boy that my sister had a crush on. Both him and my sister forgot to turn off the phone recorder so the whole time we were playing Mario Paint his mom thought we were trying to make a prank phone call to flirt with him so she showed mine and my sister's dad the tape. We tried to tell our dad that we forgot to turn off the phone recorder but he didn't believe us so we got into trouble. Man I am still upset about that.
@@bronysimpson3250 at that time he was dealing with marriage problems. But still that's no excuse as to why he would think we are liars because he wanted us to be wrong. I would never treat my kids that way. I don't want to see my children have anger issues like I did.
This takes me back to the 90s cause I only got the system for Christmas in 1994. It came with SMW and the cartridge of this game you had to swat all of those flies and the giant one. Then you start back painting, drawing, create your own coloring book, create your text with alphabet letters and numbers with different shapes and create your own music sheet.Use different erasers to start a new page or picture. Me and my younger cousin enjoyed playing this so very much everytime I'd come over to my grandmother's house or at his mother's house or at my mother's house whenever it was Nintendo time.
I loved playing this game when I was at my cousins' house. I loved the drawing feature of this game. I could draw anything I wanted. Even Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. I also loved the coloring pages feature where I could color in a picture. Mario riding on Yoshi was the best picture to color in because there were so many colors you could use to make the picture so real.I also loved the birthday card photo where you could choose the color for your cake frosting. Too bad this game didn't make a comeback for the switch. If that were true, think of the stuff that would get shared on Facebook!
I remember some secret where when you clicked on a certain thing, it would rain down mushrooms, stars, etc. I cant remember exactly what you have to click though.
I remember this game, but could never play it. My dad had emulators on the Xbox, and it had many snes games and other stuff, this one included. It never let me play the game though, it would always play the music and show the game menu video, but I could never actually start the game. So, I really remember that menu music.

This is my childhood. I was OBSESSED with this game despite it being an old game for my age. It was this, banjo Kazooie, and nights into dreams.

Mario Paint was the ancestor to the touch controls of the Nintendo DS (with mouse) and the playful touches for Nintendo DSi/3DS Native software.
