Club World Cup had originally taken only the 6 continental champions and the champion of the host nation’s top league. They expanded it to make it winners of Champions Leagues in the previous 4 years and depending on the confederation they would take clubs who ranked good within those 4 years

No disrespect to the Galaxy, but I find it kind of crazy/infuriating that this year after the Galaxy won there were clips of the trophy presentation on the highlights and on the main channel of the cup lift for LA out the wazoo. Which is good, you should have videos and clips of your champion hoisting the trophy. But last year, MLS didn't post any videos or shorts when the Crew won MLS Cup. Maybe one or two shorts of the with the cup with the supporters after the fact, but if you wanted to watch the cup lift, you had to go to the Fox Sports RUclips page. My theory? Garber hated the fact that the Crew won it all and/or they didn't want to post the video of Garber getting booed into oblivion by the Crew fans.
We (Galaxy fans) booed Garber too lol. And the boos to Taylor Twellman were astronomically loud. I think it's more of the fact that Galaxy got back to our glory
