    Love the format of this event. My horse would have been perfect for the event. His endurance was mind blowing. Wish I knew about it when he was alive. He never got tired very rarely sweated over his whole body.

      @@Stefanodoagro Thank you. That is my plan. I do not have the money. I hope to be able to find the money sometime. Then there is finding the horse.

      @@feichannel yes it did. My horse would have loved it. He would not let any horse pass him. Would have been fun.
      The memories are sweet. I still remember when he was born every moment is in my head. One of my best days ever. His birthday is in June and I light a candle and remember.

    Where can we watch the coverage of this? I would love to see something like the long 3+ hour vids you guys have for dressage. I don't see anything but snippets of the endurance events on the channel

    Not sure why they ended the race holding hands. I would have been racing for first.

      It’s to show unity, brotherhood, and respect as team members are all in this together. This is what Islamic and Arabic culture is all about, achieving together and helping each other.

    The worst of all horse sport disciplines!

    • @marianne.holmen
      @marianne.holmen 3 года назад +7

      Why?
      I doubt horses in any other discipline get as much attention from the vets before, during and after the competition as these great athletes do.

      I'm curious where you got that opinion from? This is actually the BEST, healthiest, most natural horse sport, as long as it's under an organization that prioritizes horse welfare, like FEI. The horses are simply covering ground, doing what's natural to them, they're extremely well trained before hand, taken extremely good care of before, during, and after, and monitored very closely by vets throughout. The horse and rider often have a far closer relationship than in any other discipline, because the rider spends hours and hours every week with the horse, and needs to be in tune with exactly how the horse is feeling, moving, etc, to prevent injuries and overexertion. Most of the world does races under FEI or a local animal welfare organization's oversight.
