for your pubicalyx i don’t think it was the size of your vessel that did it but the nutrients you put in the water. the cuttings don’t have any roots to absorb the fertilizer and it also looks like you put a decent amount in (enough for it to settle), so i think you just burned the stems causing it to rot and kill the whole plant. in my experience it’s not really necessary to put any nutrients into the prop vessels unless you plan on keeping them in water long term, and even then id wait until they at least have roots. if you don’t want to put your cuttings in just straight water, i suggest dipping them in rooting hormone or propping with some pothos cuttings as they also release rooting hormone into the water. hope that helps and thank you for keepin it real :)
Ohh my goodness!! I can't believe I didn't think about that. You're totally right!! I usually don't put nutrients in the water props until after that have roots. Thank you for pulling my head out of my booty!! haha 😅🤗
