- Comfortable speed boots that will also fit people with a wider foot. Absolutely unheard of, well, rarely seen, especially from adidas when you consider the most recent x ghosted line.
Adidas have however taken a huge swing at making a boot that is going to be comfortable on the pitch and appeal to a large number of people, this isn't a boot only for those that want a painted on upper or something that is skin tight, even if it should still satisfy those looking for that true speed boot vibe.
Trying to be a jack of all trades in 2021 the x speedflow .1 on the whole succeeds, it provides what the real speed boot nerds are going to look for while also appealing to a much broader mass market audience and this can especially be said of the X Speedflow .1 AG.

The advice to go half a size was great, finally got a session in on grass and it felt great having them in that half size down.

Hii James, great review. Good to know that these are the wider of the three boots. Will definitely give these a go. Thanks for the suggestion on sizing. With furon v6+ and neo 3 beta japans, all brands speed boots are really good.
It's true there are some seriously good speed boot options out there at the moment
excellent review. I wanted to know if I'd be able to use these boots on firm ground surfaces and you hit that point on the money. I'm not a fan of extremely aggressive sole plates. However, I'm not a fan of stiff sole plates either. The one question I have is, do the boots have nice flexibility in the toe box? and do you think that area of the sole plate will get more flexible over time quickly?
These are more flexible than the FG and should be fine for most people. And for nice FG surfaces they should be okay for most people
How would you compare the fit/length to the puma future z? 1/2 size down when compared to my pumas?
I wear 9US in the Nemeziz 19.1. That means I should go a half size down with the Speedflow right? Thank you

@@adrianperry6961 it’s like similar but the upper’s different both good for wide feet and same size fit
are these wider than the 19.1? and please, did you go down half a size as James recommended?
@@mehofourat9758 No I wear US 8.5 for both. But after wearing it for 4 months, I went back to 19.1 ag. The toe box seems not getting wider but longer. My toes hurt after 2 weeks so I prefer 19.1.

Thank you for your kind words on the review. :). Adidas have done a great job getting a comfortable speed boot out, both the + and .1, pretty impressive and k agree, comfort is the key element, if the comfort is right everything else can fall into place.

I have the laceless version of these and they fit good but the problem is the ankle area keeps rubbing just under my ankle when I run with them on feet, I’m using normal Nike socks with them would Grip socks fix this issue?
Why do I feel like you and Boothype are the only ones who give accurate sizing info?!? The bigger accounts (👀) I feel always either don't talk about fit or recommend TTS when there are clear issues. As usual, you've saved me some time. Thanks James!

I’m a 9 US in the phantom venom and needed an 8.5 US in these ones. Frustrating how sizing isn’t a consistent thing between brands. I enjoyed the review! Love the fit of the speed flow.
Yes! I used to be a US 9 in Mercurials. Starting last year, US 9 is too big now. Companies aren't even consistent within their own brand
I got these in my usual mercurial size and had to send them back. They run very long
These especially are a very long running boot, it's pretty annoying.
Thats the same UK size. UK8 Venom UK8 Speedflow. Orient yourself on UK not US size
got my first ankle sprain this year was wearing the puma ultras fg and if you ever seen how rough they are the the bottom then you know i probably shouldnt have been wearing those haha i couldnt walk for 3 weeks and was still out for 2 months before i could comfortably go back to work so i guess ill settle and get these now XD

The speedflow + is slightly different and if you want a tight fit you could probably go down half as well.

How does the touch and fit feel compared to the X18.1 / X19.1? Sadly, those were the best boots i’ve ever worn and now i’m looking for a replacement and next go to boot

8:15 lol that’s literally what I always do when I buy a pair and did with a pair of legend 7 elites(white and orange colorway) been wearing on em ever since. Great video by the way and rewatching all the vids as well as reading on Reddit or internet,I gotta say the speedflow.1 is like X19,X-Ghosted and the late 2012/early 2013 F50 adizero mixed into one

I wear a size 9.5 on the phantom GT but they are really tight specially on the mid foot area should I stick to a 9.5 on these aswell or go half a size down ? (I previously owned the X19.1 but they run abit long on the toe box they are size 9.5)
If the x19.1 are too long for you in a 9.5 go down at least half a size.
How long do these take to break in?

Tough call to be honest. It's going to come down to personal preference a lot. They're both very good boots and as I say in the video I think most people will likely prefer or get on better with the Speedflow

Same size should be fine.
Speedflow is great, I prefer the FG but the AG is still good..

If they're not already available the chances are you won't be able to get it. They don't release AG in every colourway

My question: there have been some player who haven’t made that switch to the speed flow. Some are either; switching to another silo, sticking with the nemesis, or staying with the previous adidas speed boot. Why’s that?
It usually takes time for players to switch into a new silo, they will switch slowly and some have maybe had a contract alternation and have gone with a different boot or just prefer a different line

@@BootWizard I have purchased this one in white and it looks Stella. But it kinda fits very tight a half size smaller than my x19.1, and I have literally no room left at the toes, kinda uncomfortable at first try at the house. It squeezes my foot. Do you think the boot will stretch will feel better with some trainingssession or return them back and get a half size bigger like my usual Adidas size?
@@DJohn-en8cr they're not likely to stretch much if you're finding them uncomfortable you should probably try a different size.
I have excessive wide feet and my feet love the vapor and superflys
Why doesn't the AG have the carbon insert?
The AG plate Adidas use is the same across all their lines, so it doesn't have specifics for each boot, so no carbon insert here.
@@BootWizard That's sad, because dimensions wise, it's the same as the FG.
I kinda scrambled myself there. What I mean is: If they took the FG, and put the AG studs, would be the same
@@BaldwinTheFifth it would, but also a lot more expensive, and possibly not necessary because you're not getting the bladed studs for the extra traction for the carbitex insert to work with
@@BootWizard I understand. The Carbitex is supposed to work alongside side with the blades.
The blades bite the grass, and the insert provides snap back.
In AG there's no real ground to bite into

These are not good for wide feet, i sized up and then the length was to long.
If you size up its of course going to be too long.
