    Sir please (Ansys Fluent 14) add a 1 complete video of Helical coil (tube in tube) heat exchanger to find all fluid properties like Reynolds number (Re), Nusselt number (Nu) to draw a graph 1. pressure drop vs Re
    2. heat transfer coefficients vs Re
    3.heat transfer coefficients Vs Diameter at different Re
    4.Nu vs Re
    5. Tube Specification
    a) Copper tube Outer dia. 25mm inner dia 23mm (Outer Tube)
    b) Steel-316 tube Dia 6mm (Inner Tube)
    c) Length 3.5 m before coiling
    d) number of turn 5
    e) Re varies 350 to 6500

    What is the exact problem definition.
    1. If the hot walls are in the centre, why the melting starts from top (sides).
    2. How the surrounding air is modelled (T_inf, h)?

    Thanks for uploading this video! Did you calculate the air and water outlet temperatures manually before input to the model? I think it would be more interesting if we leave outlet temperatures blank and let Fluent calculate these values.

      No we didn't calculate manually, it just a tutorial about CFD modeling of heat exchanger and fluent also shows the outlet temperature of air and water. You can find this from Reports> Surface Integrals> (Choose the field variable and their type and the surface where you want to see temperature and other field variables.

    how we can calculate Nusslet number for cylinders for same geometry

      first, you to find the value of heat transfer coefficient (h) and after that put the values in the formula of Nusselt number ( Nu = h*d/k) where d is diameter and k is thermal conductivity.

      Hello Raef,
      I calculate Nu along the channel, which value of h i'll calculate. from surface integral on line which mean i'll found one value for all line and the value of Nu consider the average value of line. is this right.

    Hi Sir... I think there is a small mistake in the tutorial at 09:49 wherein you have renamed the solid to air, but you seems to have forgotten to change the solid to fluid in the 'Details View' in the bottom... Isn't it ?

      you have to assign the coupled wall to the interface in fluent part.

    Hi, do you know why i get a note when doing mesh interfaces? The note says "slitting sliding interface zone 86 into a coupled wall"

      I have the 16.2 release of Ansys. I followed all the steps but the note keeps popping up saying "slitting sliding interface zone 86 into a coupled wall" while doing the mesh interface

      It means you are slitting a single boundary zone of a double sided wall into two distinct zones. Actually it creates duplicate zones or faces and nodes. Generally two sided coupled wall is automatically stilted when you convert a simple interface into coupled.

      Improve the mesh quality or reduce the under relaxation energy factor from solution control.
