I have a 14 Ford Focus Titanium and I love it. I bought it at 72k miles and I now have 85k. I have only done maintenance work, changed filters, oil, spark plugs and one sensor. I get 40 MPG on the highway and like 28MPG in the city with gas. With E85 I get a crappy 22MPG in the city. It's a peppy little hatch and it's fun to drive, especially in sport mode. I bought it for just $6100 about a year and a half ago and it's now going for a crazy $15k online! That is just mind boggling! It's got some cool features like remote start, push to start, dual climate, big infotainment system, backup camera with sonar, all window auto up/down (I don't know why this isn't standard on every car), two LCD screens, heated seats, fog lights, black leather interior, mood lighting (lol, which just means I can change all the interior light colors to like 6 variants). It's flex fuel so I've been using a mix of e85 and gas to save money.

I bought a Toyota when I came to the USA in 2013. It was a 10 years old Camry V6. Within a few months of owning the car. The exhaust rusted out, the O2 sensor broke and the heater takes 15 mins to be warm. Which means the end of my daily commute then the heat becomes available. The car had rusty body panels. And I’m sure a lot of expensive repairs if I had continued my ownership. So two lessons I learned: 1. Toyota can be a reliable car if the previous owner took care of it. 2. If a car is properly maintained, almost any brand can be reliable. I know this because I owned a BMW and Audi now and love every minute of it.

No question the Camry is maybe the most boring car ever made. It's almost impossible to have any fun with it. But that's what you want in a daily driver. Boring cars are usually more reliable and will last a lot longer. That was a concept that was just beyond me when I was 18. If you want a really exciting daily driver get a Chrysler 200C. Every day you have no idea what's going to f up on it.

The only bad thing about it is the rear rockers are starting to go on one side and the other side is bubbling because of the molded mud flaps rubbing the paint off. It has 350,000 km on it it was made in Canada as well. Likely why it's still running so well it also lived its entire life in Canada.

Hey Scotty, have you ever done a video explaining the actual reason for the E85 push my American Automakers?
Believe it or not, it was actually a way for the American automakers to game the CAFE and report better fleet fuel economies than they actually got. Because CAFE measures miles per gallon of gasoline, not gallon of fuel. This is a loop-hole that still exists to this day I believe
So taking that into consideration, a big heavy GM truck that was getting 15 miles per gallon on E85, was getting 15 miles per gallon of fuel, but as CAFE measures gasoline used, it was actually getting almost 100 miles per gallon of Gasoline, as E85 is only 15% gas per gallon. They could report this as the automakers could say that the E85 was the intended fuel and using straight gasoline or higher percentage gasoline was an option for the vehicle.
Because of this, the fleet average of Ford, GM and Chrysler sky rocketed, allowing them to continue to produce heavy, thirsty vehicles without having to pay for it to the US Government.
    That's the reason behind E85.

I love this video. I have an 08 4runner with 93,000 miles on it that was my step fathers car and then my mothers car and now its my car; boring? yes, but the thing runs like a swiss watch. After I inherited it at 83,000 I miles did an oil change and drove it to Massachusetts from West Virginia on a set of new tires. I have owned and worked on mostly SAAB 900's for most of my life (except for the truck mounted mobile hydraulic crane fleet I used to maintain, no OBD anything there!) .So you know I'm somewhat out of my mind; I learned to drive in a 900 and have owned 26 of them . The 4runner is almost perfect, it was a Northeast car ,so there is some of surface rust on the frame, the gas mileage is not great, but the only thing I've had to do was replace the plugs and a/f sensors and I did the O2 sensors as well as one of those went south wile I was trying to go north. I just love not having to wrench on the car every weekend!

How about my boring 95 Ford Ranger that I bought in 98 with 64k and then put another 229k on it before that girl pulled out across an intersection with me doing 55. Point is it still had stock exhaust and virtually everything else working. Of course I replaced a water pump and an alternator but, I did rebuild the starter for $15. A couple timing belts of course. It had a quarter size rust hole forming. That’s it. That is an honest testimony about an American truck. I would like to hear about stuff like that…
