And not only is he just waiting around, he's carrying a crate around because he's so sure that one day she's gonna change her mind because clearly girls can't just not be interested.

As a female who is over 6ft tall and one who has been since I was 13, I can say people do actually make fun of tall girls. Especially if that girl doesn't play sports and give "a point" to their height. Still though, we're talking about teenagers. As another person said, some teens can freak out over a pimple. So glad I'm not a teen now.

There was a really tall girl at my school when I was a teenager; I personally never experienced her getting bullied over it, though, here in Germany (of course I cannot know for sure if she didn't experience that). When we both were in the US, however, on a student exchange program, people at our highschool never ceised to ask her why she wouldn't join the basketball team. She simply didn't want to, and I found that pretty irritating that not only students but also teachers and other grown ups wouldn't stop asking her.

But ur also right when u said that bullying is out fo control.
Some people asked me if i regret havind done the things i did back in school for example beating the s«ht out of someone for bullying my girlfriend and seding them to the hospital with some broken bones and until now i never regreted one thing i did in the past
people need to stop bullying bcs someday it will be too late and something bad will happen

One of my closest friends is 6ft and she was very insecure with her height while she was in college. She once opened up to me and said that she loves to wear heels but because of her height she can't and I asked her why so? And she said because she will look even taller in heels so I told something that I want to tell anyone who's insecure about their height or any other body part "You're tall and take up space so what, it's totally okey to take up that space just because of what others think of you shrink your existence to fit in their expectations. You deserve all the space and you are as much feminine as any other female on this earth, your height has nothing to do with your femininity. You have all the right to feel beautiful in your own skin with that gorgeous height."
I love it that she is so much more confident now

A few years after college a female friend of mine asked me to be her older sister's date to a wedding, just for fun. I had met her before and she was a slim 6'2", pleasant looking but very tomboy, never wore makeup, and always wore her hair various forms of up. I am also 6'2", she seemed nice, just for fun, why not?
I show up, her makeup is minimal put perfect, her hair is down to her waist, and she is wearing 3" heels. Off the charts. Then they both start laughing at my reaction because they "got me." I told them they were morons if they thought "tricking me" meant I ended up going to an event with a 12 and, please, "trick" me more often. I still kind of don't get that part.
I asked her about the heels and what she said is what drew me to watch this video. She said, "I am six foot two. There is just no way I am not going to be tall. Any guy for me will have to like tall women. So if it's going to be tall, lets go for tall. Give me the damn heels." Now THAT knocked me out. What a gal.

@@emmaselander2160 It's just the same for boys/men only in reverse, you'll often find when asked or stating ideal requirements for a partner that someone TALL is usually high on the list, unless you're that confident, funny extrovert, guys generally lack the confidence, we automatically assume that any girl we're interested in must have guys queueing up to ask her out and she could have her pick...add a height difference in and the fear factor raises tenfold.

@@zvxx4943 It goes both ways for both men and women.
A lot of us (as people) have such silly & arbitrary standards. Often judging based on these arbitrary things, leading to literally judging potential partners based off them.
Whilst I can't sympathize being tall (I'm 5'6 male) I can sympathize for girls often taking a pass at my height for being short.
I had a very similar story to Jack; I cared for a dear friend and had feelings for her for many years (still do). Despite us getting along, she made it clear I wasn't her ideal type, and I came to terms with accepting it, and just wanted her to be happy~
In the end; I've learned that whilst it's nice to have those people in your lives that make you happy, ultimately you can find your own confidence and happiness from within. Learning to love yourself just as much as you do others can be quite difficult (esp. if you have such insecurities), but if you're able to do so you'll learn to see the beauty not in just others but in yourself.
It's not selfish to want to find your own happiness.

I swear, I cried in the end.
    I'm 5'8 and I always wished I was taller.
I'm the 1st child and I have 3 siblings (all boys) and I am the shortest
    (1st born curse Lol)
Growing up, I thought my height was a hindrance to me ever getting a girlfriend. I didn't date anyone throughout secondary school and University, this made me date my studies and graduate with a distinction, 2nd top of my class, but I felt very incomplete
I used to make people believe that all I cared about was books, but I was lonely.
Now, I'm 27 and I have someone who loves me wholeheartedly, and she came through a medium and at a time I least expected

First born being the shortest is such a classic lol. I know two brothers who are both tall and the younger one is shorter. Guess what, third brother out-talled them both and the tall dad too. He's so tall lol.
I wish you all the best! I hope you hae a wonderful family.

Being tall is so cool. How could people could get bullied for that?? And a girl being tall is just better. I prefer taller girls cause I'm a Dutch and I stand at a astounding height of 6ft.10(Yeah.... ik that just too tall, but I never go bullied for it.)

    "Short girls are sweet"
Short girls are Bla bla bla bla shit...
I am 5.5 an I too felt this way unsecured n embarrassing... but when did my pg there were bunch of guys who were 6feet n good looking too... seeing them.... I felt good... n go confidence.... n I also started to wear high heels too....

The thing about mean people, they will make fun of anything just to be mean. There is nothing wrong with the person they are bullying at all. It is just the thing they chose to make fun of. They could even find something in a flawless person to make fun of. Even if they couldn’t, they would then just make fun of them for being flawless.

This is so strange to me... I'm Canadian and I guess a lot of Dutch people settled in my area back in the day so I'm very unphased by people over 6ft. I've known a few girls over 6ft and a lot of guys.
For context... I'm 5'2 & 1/2" tall. My immediate family are all between 5'2" and 5'5".
I had a co worker whom I stood directly beside behind a counter who was 6'10". Once a customer genuinely asked if I was somehow below the floor or if he was standing on something... no sir, we are just drastically different heights.
Two of the tallest girls I've known in highschool and elementary school were also very popular. They were complimented by how they were tall like models and they d wear heels! I can't even wear heels because of a foot disability so I can do nothing about my height but honestly I've come to accept and embrace it. I'm friends with enough people over 6ft to see how the world they live in is not built for them to physically fit into. Legs are squashed and heads hit doorframes.
The only time I'm reminded of my short stature is when buying new pants and long sleeve shirts and standing beside tall people.
I also don't understand the mindset of tall guys being more desirable.

Yea lotta tall people clothes in stores I found UK side, I usually have to shop around for the right size pants.
