This is how great football clubs are formed! Most the best teams over time have risen from ashes of politics and other social issues! It's like watching a new planet evolve from the future I'll say it now Detroit will be big passionate club in next decade because these seem true! Weldone guys weldone!
I am very happy to see Detroit City FC get national recognition thru FIFA after everything that has happened since the club got started. They have earned it and deserved it, it's a wonderful story and I hope they continue to get stronger and stronger.

There is absolutely no need for a bid to be submitted to "bring an MLS team" to Detroit. Furthermore, we don't need to tap into the taxpayers $$$ to build an MLS stadium for a team that we don't need to "bring" or be "given" to us.
We already have a club that is intimately intertwined to the great city of Detroit. It is community-based and supporter-built. Our owners express a desire to take our club pro. Let's show the world what Detroit is made of by continuing to build this club, Detroit City FC, from the ground up. Let us #UTFC

What about Ann Arbor FC, Michigan Stars FC, and Michigan Bucks? All in Detroit.

Using Texas geography to compare, Michigan Bucks would be like Fort Worth to Dallas, Ann Arbor FC isn't Metro Detroit but is only 10 miles longer in travel, Stars would be like Arlington to Dallas.

What kind of soccer player would want to live in Detroit tho
Using other Detroit sport teams as an example here: Players like Miguel Cabrera, Henrik Zetterberg, and Andre Drummond all said they love living in the Detroit-area. And im not sure if you're just ignorant or what, but if you cant understand the concept of athletes living outside the city than you're a lost cause. Pretty much all athletes for every team dont live in that said city. Ex: Detroit Tigers players may live in Bloomfield hills, one of the richest cities in the state just a few minutes outside of Detroit. Ex 2: A player for the Oakland A's is probably going to live in SF, not oakland...its really not that hard to comprehend
