I have been aware of this man and his gigantic talent for songwriting and performing and his passion for true musicianship since I first saw him about (?)1990 in CA. Even went to Nashville for the opportunity to see him... Do yourself a favor and listen to him, have your heart and soul touched!
I don't know how much time I spent on RUclips looking for this song. They used it for a commercial here in Europe. I was looking under"something 'bout you","sworn independent", "don't need nobody", but in the end "I whiskey'd up my coffee cup" did it for me. Off I go and click replay.
Beautiful melody and lyrics; love love love Kevin Welch :) This song is so hard to find online (as someone else mentioned) I really appreciate the person who posted it. Gosh, I could listen to this over and over! :)
Years ago in Savannah GA in a riverfront longe, I enjoyed a live shoiw wirh Kierrn, and Mack Wiseman and another I can't remember. They sang The Last Cheaer' waltz. I will never forget it.
@silong87silvia Io l'ho scoperta grazie ad una pubblicità della tuborg che avevo visto da bambino. alla fine 6 anni fa son riuscito a scoprire l'autore e il nome della canzone :D:D

Oh boy, the memories this brings back. Such a beautiful song.
And another four years on, I still love this song. Have been singing it for 20 years.

megamusicluv masterpiece simple joy the best
Yup...There's something about YOU... xo:)
@SamuelCEllis Actually I think that Kieran is providing quite a bit of bassiest sound - but Kevin on lead melodic lines. He masks it quite well.
Very good band of course. Where is the lead picking coming from?
Kieran Kane
sweeeet
Great song but postcard from Mexico is the best
I can't help to wonder how this would sound if a woman ,with a powerful voice, would sing it?
Prefer the album version, but this is nice - don't think the fiddle really fits in too well though :(
