@Otsutsuki-san I agree. I wanted a Gotham that more than just three islands. If they do a game exploring and going to the Batcave, Wayne Manor, Arkham Asylum in a batmobile, then I’m all in. Arkham Knight had the opportunity to do that but didn’t.

So much potential for great games with so many of their other superhero characters and factions. Imagine a space-opera RPG based on Green Lantern where you could start out as a GL but then have the option to change to a different Lantern corps depending on the choices you make. How lazy to have to stick to Batman for any decent video game products.
Honestly it should be a Green Arrow game, or at least a Red Arrow game with the Infamous system for good karma and bad karma.
But I hope it's Arkham Beyond, the scrapped Arkham game that was replaced by Suicide Squad.

Would love another Batman arkham game but honestly my faith in Rocksteady has plummeted lately.
Why? Because of suicide squad? Which part, the Batman scene or the actual game? Because the whole live service thing was a result of Sefton Hill not understanding how to make a good online game and being forced to anyway so it turned out wonky. And Batman is 110% coming back, Kevin Conroy even recorded more lines that were unused (confirmed by King Shark’s VA and leakers, plus Flash came back in the most recent update.)
I agree that it wasn’t a great game. Once the newness and excitement wore off for me I deleted it and haven’t redownloaded since, but still. The reception for Shadow has been great so far and that game had Rocksteady alums working on it over at Camouflaj. So I’ll let them cook.

Even if I didn't have Batman fatigue (and I very much do), the current state of Rocksteady AND WB makes it hard for me to muster up much excitement for this. And coming back to Batman fatigue, there are SO many DC characters you could make a game about. Superman! Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis but good! The Flash! Swamp Thing! Hawkman that feels like God of War but with flying! Green Arrow modeled after the Atreus sections from God of War Ragnarok! An Etrigan game set in medieval times! Zatanna! Hell, I'd even take a Catwoman game (preferably inspired by her '90s comics run) even though she's Batman adjacent. She's still distinct enough to be interesting.
The only way I can get excited for this is if it turns out to be a surprise Batman Beyond game. Like I genuinely don't know what other stories Rocksteady can tell with Bruce. Maybe another prequel, but why not give the fans what they're actually asking for?

I just hope we finally get a Batman Beyond Arkham game. I met Kevin Conroy before he passed away when he signed my Limited Edition Batman Arkham Knight PS4 console and he told me that while he’s used to signing the games he’d never actually signed the Batman game system before.
During that meeting we talked about the Arkham Series and he was saying how much he had hoped they’d continue it in a Batman Beyond sequel since Bruce’s time behind the cowl should be done now due to the Knightfall Protocol. He was saying how he was surprised it had been over 20 years and yet they hadn’t done anything more for Batman Beyond even though it is hugely popular and highly requested. He talked about how much his performances in Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond, and Arkham Knight meant to him and how much growth, depth, and emotion it brought to the character. I asked him and Phil LaMarr if we had any hopes of ever seeing them return for anything more Batman Beyond or Static Shock related and both said they’ve been waiting to get the call and would be happy and love to return.
Kevin at Wizard World was surprised they were still sleeping on Batman Beyond and Phil was saying that while he loves playing Green Lantern John Stewart that he too wished they’re bring back and do something new with Static Shock. He said there was rumors of something Static in the works but he couldn’t speak on it just yet and also stated he also doesn’t know if it will happen and kinda doubts it. Unfortunately, I think Phil was right that they scraped whatever Static project they were considering as he told me this at Elkhart Hall of Heroes Comic Con like a handful of years ago already while he was coincidentally rocking a Static Shock t-shirt. Honestly DC be dropping the ball on content that fans have been asking for now for 25+ years.

Rocksteady did a best ever super hero video game. No other super hero games is so immersive as Batman Arkham games. Spiderman got close. Gameplay was good but story not so much.

All those who made Rocksteady what is was in the 2000's and 2010's are gone, replaced by a new breed with a very different mindset. As long as it’s fun I’m all for it. I’d like studios to take chances on other characters in these worlds as well though. There’s so much fun to be had with a mafia-esque John Constantine game where he’s dismantling a demon empowered crime family for example.
An aquaman game that sees you catering to the growth and development of Atlantis sim city style while also engaging in raids, and of course hunting the 7 seas for lost artifacts of Atlantis.
A strange academy game where you teach young magic users in marvel how to control their powers with a series of typical sports and games given an intentional magical twist.
There are so many possibilities to what can be done without ever having to touch Batman or his associated characters again. I want more Batman games I just also want other characters to get some shine 🤷🏻♀️

As much as I would want a Superman game, can't really go wrong with a Batman game! Even Gotham Knights was fun, maybe wasn't the game everyone wanted but it had some elements to it that was done better than Arkham games. They need to mix the two, have an open world Batman game like Gotham Knights with the day and night cycle and filled with pedestrians but combat like Arkham.

I'm hoping they reboot to remake the Arkham games where we avoid Suicide Squad as that should be non canon in the new Arkham Verse. Another hope I have is they spin-offs with the rest of the Bat Family that's a better version of Gotham Knights with inspiration from Marvel Spider Man 2. More game ideas they can go for is a Superman game, Static Shock, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Shazam, Cyborg, and Titans.

@@captay7251 Marvel benefitted from the mcu being massively successful, so all those characters got newfound spotlight. Enough so that they could have a game, and being fr there aren’t that many marvel characters with games that aren’t a bunch of them together either lol
