Hey hope u doing fine nw.. evn my mom has been diagnosed with the same tumor metasis to liver, she is getting sandostatin shot.. need ur advise on ths.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and 2 months later neuroendocrine cancer. Had breast surgery, radiation and then 3 weeks later small bowel resection, removed gallbladder. She still has liver tumors they will be treating once she recovers. She has been getting monthly lanreotide shots for 5 months and they have SHRUNK the liver tumors!!!😀 There is hope, so please find the best medical team who understands this rare cancer because it's so rare and unique.
One day at a time. Some days mom will be tired. Maybe more worried about you. Just live like every day is a good day. I get Sandostatin every three weeks, getting ready to have PRRT. Going on my third year. Find out by joining NET cancer groups. If your mom’s tumors are undifferentiated is not as good if they are well differentiated. I am a Christian, was before the diagnosis. Found out ten days after retirement. But my faith, my Lord and praying with my son every night makes us both strong. Try praying with mom each day, tell God what’s on your heart, what you are thankful for, give your hearts to him and be amazed. I pray that he will send you spiritual help. But you can always ask him yourself. He may not be there when you think he should, but HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME. Also ask for forgiveness of sins , conscious and those inadvertently causes you don’t know about. God bless!
