oh my goodness so I'm not the only one that thinks it. I've been think of this for about 5 years now. A long time ago when I saw this documentary of the making of the film stand by me I just got to Eerie feeling when he would talk about the boys. What's really pathetic it makes me so mad it's the part where he's discussing how he got the boys to use their passion and River Phoenix to show emotion you get what I'm saying what he told them to do in order to make the scene look good. He makes me sick. There is not a shred of evidence that Rob Reiner did anything at all untoward to those boys...not even one of them has ever talked about this film in a negative way. Corey Feldman has spoken about other films where that kind of thing was present...but never on this film. Wil Wheaton is very open about the pedophilic attention he’s gotten over the years from crazy perv fans who fawned over him in this role...and he has no qualms talking about this subject, and if anything untoward had happened, he’d have been the one to cast a suspicious eye on it. You have concluded that Rob Reiner did this horrendous thing...and the only thing you’ve gone on is your own “eerie feeling”. What a horrific accusation to make against someone. Shame on you. I was a victim of sexual abuse, and even I know that we do not ever throw around those kinds of accusations carelessly like this. So, I was watching an interview with Wil Wheaton talking about River Phoenix, and i remember when Wil said that, he remembered shooting the milk money scene with River, and he said it was kind of hard for River to get set into that emotion and so, the director (or somebody. I forgot who) took him into a room, and they came back out like 30 minutes later and he said that when they came out, River was like in a completely different mood. like, something seemed off. And he immediately was able to shoot the scene. so, I think this MAY have to do with a molester on set. But I'm not sure, so please don't come at me for it and hate me. I'm looking more into it. But, there is no doubt about it that there was most likely SOMEBODY sexually abusing these kids. Maybe not even on the Stand By Me set. Same for Corey Feldman too. If they were coming after River, who knows who else they were coming after. Most likely Corey too. There are SO MANY child molesters and other molesters being exposed almost every day. So, you never know...

I watched the interview where you got this from yesterday. Now, you do have it a bit confused so I’ll just go over it for you. For the scene, River was having trouble with the emotional aspect of it. It just wasn’t working out for him, so he ended up talking to the main director about it, who told him to think about every time an adult had let him down, or had done something harmful to him (which pretty much sums up the scene they were shooting). River came back on set, and did the scene perfectly. Wil Wheaton said that for the rest of the day he seemed different, like he had a weight on his shoulders; but it had cleared up the next day and he was back to normal. What River Phoenix was thinking about that brought on the emotion for the scene, I do not know. But it must have been something big.
River and his brother grew up in a cult ...the children of this cult were sexual abused...there's a documentary about it
