@4fit816 They 'were' amazing. He bails out and croons all the screamo parts now. That aggression is no longer there. He also spends half of most songs using the guitar as a prop rather than play it. Have yourself an afternoon picking your favorite Tea Party song. Watch some old footage, then watch a recent performance. Song after song, you'll see what i'm talking about. Seeing them now is like watching an 'OK' Tea Party cover band.
Firstly, I am sad that I have just discovered The Tea Party in 2020. Secondly, I am delighted I have a new band to listen to that are clearly awesome! About to start buying CDs.
Same here. I knew of them back when the Temptaion single was released but forgot all about them til recently. So many of their concerts i missed out on 😭
@@AMCmachine Yep journey indeed. First time i saw them they were playing at small clubs like Sneeky Dees and the El Macombo in Toronto. Then later on i saw them at The Pipeline in Hamilton in '93
@@4fit816 Hope to see them live someday. I did catch Robert Plant & Allison Kraus last year so major bucket list 🪣item fulfilled.✔ Zeppelin were my gateway to hard rock and heavy metal along with a few others.
One of the best Tea Party Videos ever! Thanks for putting it up! It is amazing that Jeff Burrows still can catch the drum stick which he throws in minute 5:17 :D Such a pity that they split up.
@nategwinn Yeah, Jeff Martin has perfect pitch. There was a show on the Discovery channel one time about their orchestra tour and the technology and science behind it - the host mentioned it.
Great stuff. turned on to the TP from a article from Jimmy Page. Said this is where the Zeppelin took off from ... after that had to hear the music. Crazy stuff. too bad they went separate way. Special music....... on a side note Jeff singing on a Zep reunion tour with Page Bonham and jones would have been stunning
i saw jeff martin live 2 days ago, and he mentioned a reunion on the gig, i had a chance to have a little chat with him at the backstage and asked if the news are true, and he answered "i really hope it". so maybe jeff m. wants to reunite the band, i hope stuart and jeff b. wants too!
Please come back to Adelaide as the Tea Party Jeff... my girl wants to see the original line-up as she just missed out (I introduced her to the Tea Party just after you broke up, buggar). Good luck with the 777. See you later this month down in the City of Churches (:
@imaginetheswan Jeff Burrows is on my facebook and he mentioned a couple of times about how an "old friend" tried contacting him and everyone pretty much knew he was talking about Jeff Martin. Would be nice if they would discuss getting back together, but Burrows is in a new band now. Don't know what Stuart is up to, but he has appeared in a couple of JB's facebook albums.
Its hared enough to find quality live performances of this song. But the Tea party Tea and Symphony is near impossible. PLEASE HELP! Where are the videos for that, I would love to see the performances with the live orchestra. Vote thumbs up until someone post those vids or links to.
It's amazing that he starts with the oud, but the part where they have to change instruments is a bit weak. It would be better if he had an oud sound effect on his guitar. Obviously less impressive, but more "strong and steady", as far as the sound colour and volume are concerned.
Don't worry, we Canadians generally agree Nickleback is garbage...I dunno, I guess it's just my having grown up here but there's a lot of horrible Canadian bands too...there's great ones for sure (TTP and Matt Good come to mind), but for every one good one there's three or four that just suck...
These guys are amazing live and i'm not sure why they don't have a larger following after all these years; musical genius.
Were.
@@aquapower6388 They have been doing gigs fairly steady since around 2012. What rock you living under?

It's because they're from Canada,it's the same with most of our bands
This song is why i bought almost every available cd from The Tea Party. Saw them live in Amsterdam where they almost blew Queensryche of the stage:)
The song just gets bigger and bigger 😊
absofrigginlutely!!!!!! Probably one of the most under-rated guitarists ever.
Glorious. Just phenomenonal. Love them.
Its like a part of my soul has been lost and found again. Simply inspiring.

Fan since 1994. You are in for a journey..... : ) \m/ \m/

The Mighty Tea Party were never better at their Zenith in full flight here....Shiiiiiit....look at music nowadays....nothing comes close...TP❤
Absolutely superb. Love these guys and what a performance.
Saw them in 2000 supporting Queensrÿche, mind was blown...
He is amazing! Love the way he's playing the oud

I second that; can't get enough of it.
Please upload =)

Amazing performance.
This was brodcasted? Do you have more songs?
Only 58,000 views, how do we make people understand
Share the shit out of it on every media platform possible
@snipervzln No such thing as a bad performance from The Tea Party :) I love them so much lol
Sure there is. ruclips.net/video/xj1aeWDRcKA/видео.html
The music isn't first place for Jeff Martin anymore. Sad. He's brilliant.

I saw these guys two times. Both times on mushrooms. The only way to hear the music right.
The drummer has one of the most aggressive styles I have seen \l--l
can anyone direct me to the rest of this concert? cant find it anywhere.
Pretty sure this is Toronto Rocks. a concert for the city of Toronto after SARS
+Jeff Grafe Jeff, this is from a concert in Germany
I remember Jeff Martin once said that TTP was the heaviest treepiece on tour. Wasn,t he damn right?
til sleep comes down!!! Sleep!!!
fuck yes!!!
Why didbt they play this song in Burlington this summer
No doubt!
Best

ah yes, i remember Talent.

kick ass song..my thought is that live version of it is way better than the studio one.
Did you see that it's not fretted and he doesn't miss a single note?
Lol audio Police caught the armada
@sstacy19 Yes, even in 18000 years they will be underrated :D (i think there's one "0" to much ;) But you're right, they are unbelievable good!
The Tea Party in daylight....seems strange somehow....lol
My Cocaine days...............
That’s funny. I just shot myself up with a whole shitload of instant coffee and got the same effect. Wired to the extreme!
In fact i did. Ouds are always fretless. Yeap, he's correct, but then he has to leave the oud and take the guitar. "That" part is a bit empty.
Sen nesin ya
