It’s sensuaI too and our history has always been the most, this works universally and she’s a gem for this form of dance, so great to represent us nationally. Some people here showing habits under invaders themselves, and this is scripted anyways.

I guess lavani was also performed at nautanki where people used to have alcohol..apsara aali is infact a kind of seductive dance..but no one points finger at that..then why here..just because she used a dance form which most of you didn't find appropriate..it doesn't mean its vulgar..u need to get your eyes and facts checked

What Kiran ji said was in more accordance to the style the whole dance and get up the dancer had. And I think the twirking part was used more deliberately in this performance. Every style has its own place and using a visually seducing steps in a traditional style just ruins it completely. It’s like Imagine someone twerking in Bharatnatyam or any classical form for that matter. I really appreciate that Kiran ji stood for it. 💯🙏🏻👍
Exactly like twerk krne ka alag space hota hai and traditional dance ka alag. Bhale hi twerking initially seductive dance nhi tha but time ke sath aisa hogya so that is why this fusion was unnecessary. Sure maybe woh agar koi aur dance style jo ki less seductive hota uska ka fusion karvati toh thik lagta but this was totally disgusting.

Actually she did the twerking pretty well as well. But I also agree with Kirron Kher that this did not go well with the lavani and get up. Lavani is inherently a seductive form as well, you really don't need to combine twerking to that

Twerking is also a dance form but fusing with lavani is not good as it is a cultural folk dance which deserves respect.
Though nobody can stop what people want, its just my opinion.

What kiron meant is...twerking shouldn't be mixed with indian folk dances, traditional or classical dances. These dances were performed by royal dancers are goddesses. Twerking isn't vulgar at all and can be performed with other dance forms. She could have mixed twerking with bollywood.
